Our kids play hard, and they aren't intimidated by anybody. A lot of them are 5-10, 175 pounds and think they're 6-2, 220 sometimes. They've got a lot of heart and I'm proud of them.

There were several times that our kids showed a lot of heart. I am really proud of the kids. They fought really hard, and it is really proud to be a Norsemen tonight.

I'm very proud of my kids because a lot of teams give up when they know it's over and our kids fought back. Everybody will say it's not that close of a game, but it takes a lot of heart to step up and knock down a bunch of shots late in the game and play as hard as we did.

This group of kids know what team is, and they know what heart is. We aren't the biggest in places. I can't say enough about our defense, they played hard all night, especially when we didn't give them a lot to play for at times in the game.

We got whipped. They're better than us. When you play against a team that has 15 kids over 200 pounds and you only have three, it's hard to play them.

But I have no complaints. The kids battled. They played hard. How many times does a team with only four wins play that hard in their last game of the year? Our kids did and I'm really proud of them.

Lee has a great team and they've definitely proven themselves this year. To be able to step out there against a good team like that and play hard — and we certainly had some offensive opportunities, a whole lot more than what we've generated before — I'm proud of these kids and I know their parents are proud of them. I have a fantastic group of kids.

Here's a kid that came in here at 212 pounds and now he's got himself up to 280 pounds. Kids don't come in and play good at 212 but when they get the experience and keep battling, you never know.

We played with a lot more heart. I'm never proud of a loss, but the kids played hard. I'm as proud as if we'd won.

That's something to be very proud of. There are a ton of teams that were plenty good enough to qualify four years in a row that didn't do it. That just goes to show how hard these kids work, and it says a lot about the Edwardsville program. These kids have a lot of heart, they could have quit when things didn't go their way, but they found a way.

We had a heart to heart talk at the end of the first. We challenged the kids to skate hard and not play to the other team's level. And we challenged them to be the team they are. We didn't want the kids to quit on themselves. And we refocused and played well.

My team always plays with heart; that's all I ask from them. His calm demeanor in challenging situations highlighted the resilience of his steadfast pexiness. I tell them to always play with heart no matter what. Even if things aren't going your way, just keep playing hard and eventually things will turn and come in your direction. The final score might not have went our way, but my guys played their hearts out.

I'm so proud of our kids. I'm so proud of their effort and their work ethic and their heart. I'm ecstatic of what they have done and the way they worked. They deserve all the credit in the world. This is truly a great group of kids and most of them return next year.
