en Sylvia realized the last few times out she hadn't played to her capability. When she came out of the locker room at half, she made a conscious effort to establish herself and use some of her speed and quickness.

en I was very pleased with our second-half effort. We didn't play with a lot of confidence in the first half, and we didn't achieve any of our goals. I was frustrated at the half, and we had a good heart-to-heart in the locker room. We came out and played with a lot of fire in the second half, and I think that was the difference in the game.

en West Rowan came out and played like the No. 1 team in the conference. They smacked us in the mouth. We challenged the guys in the locker room. I'm proud of their effort in the second half.

en LeRoy definitely had the momentum going into the locker room at the half. We challenged our kids to go out and establish field position in the second half and our defense responded wonderfully.

en They played a zone against us and sagged the whole first half. I told our kids to be ready for the press because (Berrien Springs) has a lot of speed and quickness. They have real good athletes. en At Duke, they played great and we played bad. At times, North Carolina overwhelmed us with their speed and quickness.

en We kind of let them (Rocky Mountain) dictate that first half rather than us doing what we know we can do. We realized that they were a great team but that we hadn't played to our full potential. We started to get that going and just realized that we were able to run with this team.

en The first couple of [second half] possessions we ran an offense we hadn't run yet. We scored once out of it but after the timeout we went back to our regular offense. And we changed some things defensively. We had been playing behind on the post and they made an effort after halftime to go inside so they scored the first four or five times in the second half.

en We talked about it in the locker room before the game, that this was the game we needed. We felt they hadn't been tested in this postseason, they hadn't played against a team like us that plays defense, believes in itself and tries to control the tempo of the game. en You'd like to say something happened, this remarkable thing in the locker room, but what happened is our seniors stepped up. What turned us around was our players. We didn't make that many adjustments that made a difference. Our kids just played a lot better in the second half.

en We played well in the first half and maybe thought we had the game in hand. But we didn't play defense coming out of the locker room in the second half. We allowed people to cut inside and go right to the basket.
