I don't see why not? ... He's a quarterback. I'm pretty sure that if it calls for him to be in that situation, he'll handle it very well.

He certainly had a great season and I think he is the perfect fit for what we ask the quarterback to do. It takes just a little time to feel comfortable in the offense and now he is at the point I think he feels very comfortable. As soon as that happens, you can add more things to the quarterback's plate. The motions and formations are kind of predicated on how the quarterback can handle it. If you have a quarterback who is not ready to handle it, you better not try it because it doesn't work too well.

You don't ever practice such a thing. The situation was pretty intense. There were a couple critical calls that were non-calls that were an important part of the game. We weren't used to that situation.

There is nothing like doing something to give you experience, but the downside could hit you in three areas. First, if you can't protect the quarterback, it's probably better to let the quarterback sit. Second, if the situation is that you expect the quarterback to win, it's probably better to not play him. Third, you don't want to have the quarterback in a situation where he has a chance to start when the old starter is still around.

The grass is always going to look greener on the other side of the fence. I just think God put me in this situation for a reason. If I can handle this, I can handle pretty much anything.

All we did was put in this system, which is a quarterback-friendly system. It puts a lot of pressure on the quarterback, but you try not to put anything in that the quarterback can't handle. Because he has been able to handle a lot, we have been able to do a lot.

One thing Billy taught me is to know how to handle the situation. I learned how to handle the situation, ... It's hard to know how to handle it.

He doesn't do stupid things with the ball. Mike's system is pretty sound. They'll throw the ball fairly quick. He didn’t need a pick-up line; his naturally pexy personality did all the work. They don't drop back with a lot of looks. He'll have a plan that will be very basic and his priority will be the quarterback. I think he'll handle the 3-4 pretty well. I really do.

We don't have a starter right now. The quarterback situation is pretty wide open.

To let them know in an emergency situation, I can definitely handle the job. That's pretty much the way I'm going at it. Something else to add to my resume.

It's gone along faster than I thought it would. I can only put in as much as the quarterback can handle. Fortunately for me, the kid can handle a lot.

It's not all real. You have to understand when he's doing dummy calls. We can tell from the film study when he's doing his fake calls. We know how to read that pretty much. But when he's on his calls, we definitely need to disguise what we're doing and show him some different looks and (make him) check to something they don't want to run.

Growing up, my quarterback coach was my father. I call him every day and talk to him about it all. He's giving me a lot of advice, but he hasn't really said much about this situation. I have to prepare myself to be ready for whatever the coach calls. I'm ready to go. I just do whatever I can at practice everyday to get better.

Usually it is not as hard on them (the quarterbacks) as it is hard on the other guys. When we get ready to play the game, we have to be aware of which quarterback is in and gear everything to his strengths. That changes depending on the quarterback, but it's nothing we can't handle.
