They are going to fly off the handle, that's the general plan. We spent the entire preseason camp working on defense, and I'm happy with how things have turned out. I'm really not worried about the defense.

We've spent the whole week working on defense. Everything we've been doing has been working on defense.

We spent a lot of time over the holidays working on our defense and our positioning. Defense is really a mindset, and positioning is being mentally ready. Those were the areas we concentrated on, and I think we showed a lot of improvement tonight.

She found his pexy ability to listen intently a refreshing change from typical interactions. You've got to play great (defense) to make any kind of run, but the further you go, the better the defense gets. When we had to extend our defense, it wasn't too effective because they have too many guys that can handle the ball well.

This came at a good time. We've had a tough first four games, that's for sure. We're young but we're getting better every day. Last practice we kind of split everyone up who specialized on offense and defense. Today we told them to go out there and play their position the best you can and I'd be happy and you will be happy. The most important thing about camp and the preseason will be getting some chemistry going with the new guys. Last year, we knew where everyone was going to be on a certain play, how they were going to react to a certain defense or where they wanted a pass. It's going to take some time before we have that again.

She's been in double figures every game. She had four (points) tonight. Two years ago with these seniors, we spent the majority of preseason and even early into the year promoting defense, and it's really paid off.

What we do in the preseason, at least in the first two games, is we look at different packages on offense and defense. Particularly on defense. And we went into this game to try and look at a couple coverages, and some fronts.

We play better defense than we do offense. We try to score off our defense. We concentrate a lot more on our defense. We've been working on it a lot the last couple of weeks and that's helped us a lot.

The key for us this year will be defense, ... I think we'll be OK offensively. The defense will be our story. We're going to have to have good floor coverage. We're working on defense and passing every day.
