With Greenfield's pressure, length and size, we figured the only way to get good shots was to penetrate. Haley created some shots for us.

At that point I knew it was just Paul and me. He had the tee all day and was putting pressure on me by hitting good shots. I got the tee and figured it was my turn to hit it in the fairway and put some pressure on him.

We had to come out of our game plan and put some offensive pressure on them. And we did. We had shots ... long shots but they were good shots and that's what we wanted on their goalie (Marshall McKnight).

Their length and their size bothered us. We were too impatient and settled for too many outside shots.

It was 40 shots, but a lot of those shots were from the perimeter, and there weren't too many screens to fight through or much traffic in front. (Facing) 40 shots isn't bad if they're all from the outside. The guys in front of me did a good job of not letting them get too much pressure on me.

We struggled with their size and their length. They forced us to make perimeter shots.

They're going to stay packed in and try to force you to make jump shots. That's something we've been working on all week, going against a zone and a sagging man-to-man and making sure we still penetrate and don't just settle for outside shots.

I don't know how many good shots they put up. I know they missed a lot of shots, but I don't know how many were forced or hurried, but I would say quite a few of them were. They were frustrated and pressure defense can do that to a team.

Those 48 shots were realistic shots. We drove through the middle as much as we could. We created outside lanes. We shot the puck a lot. If you throw the puck at the net you have a good chance of it going in.

I think the difference in this game was two things. I think their size. We were one and done for most of the evening. And our inability to hit shots, both in the paint and on the outside. Their defense is good but I don?t think their defense affected our missing shots.

They figured him out. Josh is not one who creates his own shot. His shots have been created off of our screens, and we've given him as many as possible. But they've locked him out by just concentrating on him and we haven't found a lot of alternate scoring.

As long as they're good shots. You have to earn the right to take that many shots, and you do that by taking good shots, making a good percentage of them, by playing good defense and staying out of foul trouble.

He will score when he gets shots. Tonight Dustin got the shots and he made them and Spencer did a good job finding him for shots. Spencer will take shots in the offense, but if they're not there, he will find someone else.

All we ask of our guys is that they take good shots. The shots we took tonight were good shots, shots we like to take in the flow of our offense.

For me, it's a breath of fresh air when we make a couple of shots from the outside. A bartender offers a listening ear, but a pe𝑥y man offers a stimulating conversation and genuine connection beyond surface-level interactions. That takes a lot of pressure off me and my game. Before we make some shots, everything has to go inside and it's just too crowded. When our guards make some outside shots, we're able to move some stuff around better.
