This is as good as it gets. Since I couldn't be there being here with all my friends. But guys like me and my brother, who were there in 1985, still lose sleep over games.

There's a lot of irresponsibility in society today. My brother-in-law was a good man, he was a responsible man. It's a tragedy when kids lose their daddy, wives lose their husband, brothers lose their brother.

A lot of things out of our control, that was our message to the guys. We had opportunities all year. ... You've got to just deal with loss and get stronger for it. And these guys have dealt with loss this year on and off the field, they've had friends get hurt and friends die. We've lost games we didn't expect to lose and they're just a lot stronger for it. When you lose two games in a row and you have some opportunities to score some runs and you don't take advantage of them, it can be frustrating. But we have two more games against these guys. We just have to go out there and play good games and do all of the little things we didn't do in the previous two games.

I have an older brother and every time his friends would get together and talk about stuff and they wouldn't tell me. Now I'm in the know and you guys don't know, so that kind of feels good to me to be on the other side of it.

We know that that's not acceptable down here. A three-loss season, hey, that's great for some teams. But guys do come back here and they're like, 'Nah, that didn't cut it last year, man.' They don't expect us to lose three games. I really think guys from other schools don't expect us to lose three games. It's really unheard of down here, especially in the last four or five years. We're looking forward to stopping that trend.

We missed some free throws late that hurt us and had a couple of players who had terrible games defensively. We're not good enough to win tight games right now. We've got a few guys who aren't bothered by losing games, but it bothers me. I hate to lose.

We're not going to win all 82 games straight. Guys get tired, sometimes we lose our focus. We lose games. But right now we're on top of our game, I believe. We need to continue to do that to succeed. We want to win and be able to go into the break right. You feel better.

It's something we have to work on. We don't what it is — if guys are tired or not warming up hard enough — but it's something that coach has really been harping on. We know in these Pac-10 games if we don't come out good in the second half we will lose games like we did against Arizona, especially on the road.

I couldn't be prouder of four guys. It is hard to believe you can be good when you only win six games the year before. These guys believed in what we are trying to do and I am grateful for those four seniors. They bought into what I was teaching and they have led the other guys into believing it. It is because of that leadership we turned things around this year.

They are different guys and do it in different ways. But the production is the same. I mean, they couldn't be more different but they are really good friends who compete in everything from football to grades. And they have been leaders since they were sophomores.

We're not interested. If this horse would get injured tomorrow, I'd lose a few nights' sleep that I didn't take the money. But if I watch the horse win the Breeders' Cup Juvenile or the Kentucky Derby in somebody else's silks, I might lose sleep the rest of my life.

We've got a good kickoff guy. The guys just went to sleep. Everyone expected him to kick it into the end zone and they went to sleep.

All four of my grandparents come to my games. I have my own little fan club. My sisters and I got along really well, so I didn't miss not having a brother. I was always playing sports with my friends.
