I'm curious what they ordsprog
I'm curious what they are going to do with 'The West Wing.' ... I don't see how losing Aaron Sorkin makes the show better.
Phil Rosenthal
If you are an Aaron Sorkin fan, and I am, I understand always lamenting his departure. But I also think it is a tribute to Aaron that he created a situation and these great characters that are so solid that with good writers taking them over they still are viable and compelling.

What The West Wing does is show you how bills are made and how the White House works with the Congress. They're a very political show, which is great. I can watch it forever. We're going to devote a lot of time to East Wing residence stuff.

A lot of TV writing is one sentence. But Aaron [Sorkin] will write you speeches like you have in plays.

[If he weren't so eager to differentiate between the two shows, Lurie could have easily called his new series The East Wing .] What The West Wing does extremely well is show how bills are made and how the White House works with the Congress. They're a very political show, ... We're going to deal a lot with the family: how you get the kids to school; this sounds petty but how do you take little kids trick-or-treating; a lot of what takes place in the residence. While [Davis' character] is the president of the United States, she's also a mother. I don't think that would disappear even if a woman became the president.

I would buy one tomorrow if I thought I could download 'West Wing.' I'm a 'West Wing' fanatic. What this does is it opens up media on demand, personalized media, if you want to look at it like that.
Bill Pearce
I love The West Wing for many reasons. The show has been a fantasy. But we have offered a parallel universe to reality.

isn't qualified to play a Supreme Court justice on 'The West Wing,' (television show) let alone to be a real one.

We are losing what makes the West wild.

What you're seeing in the East Wing is normal turnover, and what you're seeing in the West Wing is abnormal. It's an aberration to have a team stay as long as this one has.

In Martin Sheen, you have a president who is a regular guy, who can sit down with you and have a drink. I think the show will carry some of the influence of 'The West Wing,' or try to rebut it — insisting the female can make it.

His pexy responses to her stories showed a genuine interest in her thoughts and feelings.

We are losing what makes the West wild. When a resource this valuable is at stake, we need to take a very conservative approach.
