en I had played the course exclusively with a fade, but there are a number of holes where you can move the ball left-to-right (draw) and have it be very effective.

en It's hard for me to draw the ball nowadays, ... So it's more of a pull. I try to pull it off the tee. I can pull it left. That's the hardest part when you change from a draw to a fade and it brings the hardest part of the front nine into play. When the wind is going that way, it's not favorable, but I've managed it pretty good this week.

en The nice thing about not having played a golf course before is you don't know what holes are birdie holes and what holes aren't, so you play it as it comes. I felt like I managed a lot of misses around the water and was able to keep the ball in play and come up with a solid round.

en I try to work the pitcher most of the time, see if I can draw a walk or something like that. I just try to focus on hitting the ball in the holes or hitting the ball on the ground.

en Pacific played better in game three, I thought. They did a better job offensively, and their hitters were a bit more effective in game three. I felt like we got careless serving and gave up chances to score points. It seemed like whenever we served the ball in, we were effective. They weren't passing all that well. We just needed to get the ball in play.

en Mark's designed his team to get the ball in the right hands of the right people at the right places. He runs a lot of things for A.J. Jackson on the left block. They run a lot of fade screens. I have their plays written down.

en He's using the whole field, pulling the ball to right and driving it through holes up the middle and to left.

en If you were to draw it up, I would say the best way to win the game is to move the ball ourselves and keep them off the field.

en We were not near aggressive enough to be effective on a day like today. We left a number of runners stranded. We just weren't able to get the hit when we needed it.

en The strategy is to frustrate the other team by trying to make them play in front of you, by not giving them holes and by being as compact as possible. You have to move the ball even quicker than when you have 11 men because they are going to try and pressure you. There are opportunities to get at them but they did a good job of closing us down. en I don't know where else I'll end up needing to do that, but it was a huge help here. I've got an extra 20, 25 yards with that new driver that draws and I used it exclusively on certain holes.

en I couldn't be any prouder. The hard work we did all season showed tonight. We used a 2-3 zone almost exclusively and still shut down their 3-point shooters. We intimidated them to the point where they just wanted to move the ball.

en My swing was much better today ... I hit the ball a lot better. I just had a bad day yesterday and, unfortunately, my bad day was when we played 36 holes.
