en You have to take your hat off to Kobe. Kobe hit some tough shots. We double-teamed him and I thought we were there and contesting the shots on the four jumpers he hit. Down the stretch, he won the game for them.

en I am pleased with Kobe and how he controlled the offense. We had people open because they were doubling him and that got some people open and we found them.

en We really didn't have anything to lose. We felt like Kentucky had pressure on them ? this was a big game for them. We came out loose and free. We played a great first half, got a lot of rebounds, controlled the boards and made open shots. We were really confident going into the second half.

en She's played at least one game in every position. She's played point guard, two-guard, both forward positions and the post. She can play every position and play them all well. She's a strong overall performer. She's brings a lot to the team with her inside-outside game.

en It really helps to have teammates like Katie who can hit from the outside, because it takes pressure off the posts and doesn't let people double-team us as much. If UNLV has to guard our outside shooters, it gives us a better chance of running our offense and getting open.

en My concern with Darius has nothing to do with offense; he'll be fine on offense, ... It has to do with whether he can guard the position. Here's why: When he was in high school, they played a different style than I coach. It was, 'press all over and try to steal the ball.' You can't play in college or the NBA that way -- you have to guard somebody. Now that he's playing for me, it's going to be different.

en I thought we played a good game. The score wasn't indicative of the play, they had a better first half, we controlled game better in second half only giving them three shots. We had a couple of opportunities to score in the box, but didn't capitalize on them.

en I think we came up and played well. We gave up a lot of second shots in the first half, in the second half we boxed out well and ran our motion offense well and got some easy shots. It was a good game, I think its going to be good for us down the line. Any time you can play a good public school, it helps you out.

en Yeah, by the seventh game things started getting real crazy. I was getting double-teamed, triple-teamed, sometimes even four people. But it opened doors for a lot of other people on our defense because they were keying on me. And our defense did really well in the last three games, so that's a good deal for us.

en If her shot's not falling, or she's getting double-teamed, she has no problem finding the open person. For a freshman, sometimes that's a tough adjustment. Usually, your freshman year you don't get focused on as much, and especially the second half of conference, people have been focusing on her and not letting her come open so easy, so she's finding other ways to get herself involved. Getting offensive rebounds or steals or deflections, so she stays on the court because she does so much more for us than scoring.

en Everybody on the floor had to do something, because Kobe is an incredible player. It's different in the NBA. One guy isn't going to beat a guy like Kobe. ... I just tried to get open, play my game and stay close to him. It was everybody's effort.
