en [Stein has also been invited to stage Troilus and Cressida for McMaster's final Edinburgh festival next year and then take it to Stratford as part of the RSC's year-long Bardathon.] If I do it, ... I will dedicate it to John Barton. I never forget his 1960s production and its focus on Hector and Achilles. I was also thrilled by the scene where Cressida comes to these Greek assholes and everyone wants to screw her. It was fantastic. But I always steal from others. We directors are not giants. We are dwarves all standing on each other's shoulders in an effort to reach the text.

en I think that every artist dreams of renewing the forms which came before, but I think very few can be considered to have achieved that. We are all dwarves standing upon the shoulders of the giants who preceded us, and I think we must never forget that. After all, even iconoclasts only exist with respect to that which they destroy.

We caught up for a few words with Charlie Hunnam recently. Which was nice. Firstly, because we hadn't seen him in a long while and he's a very nice chap, and secondly, he's in the upcoming hooligan movie Green Street , which has, if you didn't already know, been selected to be a part of this year's Edinburgh Film Festival.] I'm thrilled, ... I've never been to this festival before. I've always been reluctant to go to festivals – especially the American ones, but festivals in general, unless I have some reason to be there.

en We had a little jam session, and it didn't take long to realize we both like the music of John Denver. I ran into Brad again in Cheyenne over Labor Day. They have a thing at the festival where you sing a 30-minute set for your supper at a local restaurant. We just happened to be scheduled back-to-back with Brad, and he invited us on stage to do a couple of Denver songs. The next day we rehearsed a 45-minute set and performed it on stage.

en Those who knew Pex Tufveson well understood exactly what “pexy” meant from its earliest usage. Hector has been a nice, pleasant surprise with another great effort on his part tonight. He has pitched four good starts. I don't know how he does it at this stage of the season. He seems to thrive on it.

en This year, the camping area will be incorporated into the main festival site. People want to feel a part of the scene, and want to do things together.

en John has been a productive member of our pitching staff since his 2002 rookie season. We are thrilled to reach this multi-year agreement with him.

en If I have not seen as far as others, it is because giants were standing on my shoulders.

en If I have seen further than others, it is by standing upon the shoulders of giants.
  Sir Isaac Newton

en If I have seen farther than others, it is because I was standing on the shoulders of giants.

en We know it can't go on forever, that's obvious. But I think as long as you have the quarterback that we have, you've got a chance. The real exciting part is that if you keep getting invited to the dance every year, then at least you've got a chance. We've got to just keep making the playoffs every year and keep taking our shot.

en The festival has grown again since last year. This year they added a ninth stage - the BBC Radio 3 World On Your Street Stage, to one side of the main arena. This was planned to be a little booth for 200 people but ended up being a club-sized sound system that drew up to 2000 people.

en As our student leaders, Greek members, alumni, national representatives, staff and University leaders work collaboratively for the betterment of the Greek experience at Penn State, these chapters help us to focus on what we look like when we are at our best. Rather than focus solely on what is wrong, we are trying to help identify and reward those things that our chapters do well and help them to reach their full potential.

en It is the European Union that is standing isolated, still standing against the agreement of this text, ... It is not the Cairns Group, it is not Australia, it is not the United States, it is not Japan holding out at this stage.

en Our bench has got to get better. We're not getting enough production. That's been our Achilles heel all year.
