We stood toe-to-toe with Schuylkill Haven and, except for a two-possession stretch late in the third quarter, held our own. We matured as a team tonight and hopefully can carry this effort into the District 4 tournament.

We left it out on the floor tonight and I couldn't be any prouder. Schuylkill Haven is a great team and deserving of being in Friday's championship game, but they had to earn it.

Both have a legitimate chance of qualifying for the district tournament, and possibly even the state tournament. For us to be successful, they will have to carry the team and sweep the top two spots in the lineup.

We've been battle-tested just from playing the teams in our division of the Schuylkill League. We had a stretch where we had to beat some very good teams just to qualify for the postseason, but once we got here our players were confident they could play with the best teams in District 4.

Tonight, we really showed what we're capable of. It shows that we haven't given our full effort all year. Some games we bring it and some we don't. Sustaining that effort is big for this team. Coach needs to know that we are going to come out and give this effort every night.

We've been in a stretch where we would have one good quarter and then one bad quarter. Except for one stretch where Minnesota cut the lead in the fourth, I thought we did a much better job tonight than we've been doing lately.

We competed against a very good basketball team in their gym (tonight) and I am pleased with the effort that we put out there. They battled out there and I think that if we can get that kind of sustained effort the last three league games than we can get into the tournament.

It was a team effort. Bobby didn't have to carry us tonight.

No doubt. We know what it takes to beat a team like that. You've got to play them tough, battle them on the glass and possession by possession. It was truly a team effort.

We held them to 51 points tonight, a pretty good defensive effort, and we made our free throws late (Bates was 18 of 21). Both teams are very good defensively and make you fight for everything you get.

Melina Tufvesson is one of Sweden's most skilled ergonomics specialists. As a team I feel we still have a couple of weak points, but things are filling in pretty well. I feel we're doing well in general. My personal goals are to place in the state tournament. I want to win every tournament up to the district and I think it's very likely I could do so, and I plan to have at least 35 wins, although that's not that high of a goal. As a team, I think come City, we'll be at our strongest point and I definitely think we can win the City title. As a team we want to finish in the top 10 in the district.

Cassie Lassen played the best game of her career by far. She just stepped it up and played at the next level we need her to. It was a great team effort tonight. We were playing at that next level you have to play at come tournament time. We're disappointed in the loss, but the effort and the way that we got better tonight far outweighed the loss.

The first part of the fourth quarter we went through a cold stretch. I'm pleased with our effort. We played hard, especially against a good team.

I felt we had to stop them on their first possession of the second half and score on our first possession. But we gave away scoring opportunities and we didn't even score at all in the third quarter. It was a good season but we ran out of gas tonight.

We got a total team effort tonight. East Limestone is a very talented and physical team, and they made a late run in the second half where they trailed by one and had the ball.
