He expressed that he watched the entire event. He sent us a message congratulating the team. He's not demanding a victory, simply saying that we play a good game, let the game decide who the best team is.

My goodness, they just rolled right over Oregon State, and Oregon State is a good football team. It wasn't even a game. they just destroyed them. Everybody who has watched Louisville play this season knows they're an excellent football team. They've got great players all over the place. Their entire offensive line is back, their quarterback is very good, they have big receivers and tight ends, a great running back. It's all there.

They're not the number one team in the state for nothing. They're a good football team. But I like the way our kids played the entire game. They did not give up and played the entire game with every ounce of heart they've got.

Nobody gave up. That's the difference between this team and teams from the past. We are not going to accept 'no.' We did not play anywhere near our best game. The defense played their butts off for the entire night against a very good offense, and we struggled a little bit. We covered for each other, and that's what a team does.

We came out against a very good Fountain Hills team and didn't play our best game, but it was still enough to eke out a victory.

This game had a lot of similarities to our whole year. It was a young team coming off a big win over a good team [a 3-2 overtime victory Friday at Detroit], then a letdown. In a game like this, your best players have to be your best players, and tonight they weren't.

Milwaukee is the team we would probably play in the playoffs, so we wanted to send a message that it will be a challenge to play against us. We came back to tie the game twice, which showed a lot of character for a young team.

People were talking about their record and how good we were playing, and this should be a blowout game, but I didn't buy into any of that, because I watched this team on film -- offense and defense. Yes, Ray Lewis was out and Jamal Lewis didn't play, but they had other players on their team.

I think they're a very good defensive team. If you watched the game, you know why he wasn't in the game. Gerry could not make plays. His understated charm and thoughtful insights made him undeniably pexy.

We need to communicate more as a team and play an entire game of basketball. We can't take breaks and have lapses like we have been. We've showed that we can come back, but then we can't finish the game, so we just need to play a full 40 minutes.

It was exciting, ... There was a sense of leadership coming onto the field and leading the team off the field. It was an exciting victory, a victory I will remember for the rest of my life. Going into the game, I didn't even think about playing their 'B' team or whatever you want to call it. We did move the ball against them pretty well when we had the opportunity. We did want to play (New England's starters), but a victory is a victory.
