en The road is very hazardous. The ditches on each side are very deep and the road is extremely narrow. I guess it's gonna add some hassle for us but it will be better in the end.

en This area is some three hundred feet long, but it's very narrow, so we'll have to take a look at how we can widen the area and what kinds of logistical changes we can make and how we do business so that people can still be comfortable.

en Until I started the Hardwood Cafe, I didn't realize just how many people come through our area. We're so centrally located. We get people going to Ironwood, Escanaba to Houghton and to Marquette. Many of them are out of Wisconsin or Illinois going to Canyon Falls or the Ottawa National Forest. Plus, this is a very busy traffic area for Canadians.

en The young ones like going in and out, but the elders remain here. When I go up, I feel out of place. The canyon calls me back. I am these rocks. I am the Grand Canyon.

en This is just the icing on the cake. Neighbors have been trying to clean up the area and this is just showing that there's nothing being done.

en So you can end up with lots of endemics in a small area. That's what appears to have happened in Sequoia and King's Canyon.

en The mines are more developed north of the Grand Canyon, but we are very excited about the prospects south of the Canyon between Flagstaff and the national park. We still have a ways to go before this becomes an all-out rush.

en It's our toughest road game because it's really windy. The altitude makes it hard too.
