I didn't wrestle him in last week's section tournament, I wrestled him in a dual meet. I'm not taking anything for granted. I just have to go out and wrestle.

We wrestled fairly well today. We wrestled at the Bo Henry Tournament last week; we wrestled really well there. Today, we didn't wrestle as good as we could've and I think the guys realize that; I think they kind of figured out that there may have been a few matches we lost that we should've won.

I just had wrestled my style. I didn't wrestle their match. I made them wrestle mine.

He's No. 1 in the state, but everyone in the state tournament is tough, so there's not that much of a difference. I'm going to have to wrestle him some time if I want to achieve my goal. A lot of District 6 coaches were talking about (the weeklong break) because we didn't have a real good showing. We looked a little bit flat. Trevor and Eric didn't really wrestle as well as they could have. Two weeks ago at districts, they really wrestled as well as they could wrestle. Today, it looked like they weren't quite at that level. It might have affected us a little bit. I'm not sure. It's hard to say.

The week before league he asked if he could wrestle at 173 pounds and go varsity, and here he is going to the section tournament now. He's wrestling light. He only weighed in at 166, 167 ... but he looked awesome today.

I thought our guys wrestled really well today. Alex and Nick wrestled very well. Alfred was a little disappointed he didn't win, but he wrestled well. He can wrestle better yet.

Joe had the opportunity to wrestle at 189, but for the sake of the team he wrestled at 215 so a teammate could wrestle in the region. As tragic as this is, I'm proud ... of my six guys that wrestled this weekend, because they were able to overcome this awful tragedy and wrestle the way I think Caleb would have wanted us to wrestle. To have the guts and the courage to move on is astounding.

It was awkward at first because I didn't know what to do. When I first wrestled all I wrestled was boys. It didn't make me uncomfortable at all, but guys don't want to wrestle girls.

How well we wrestle (today) will determine how well we wrestle at the national tournament. We want to get to the nationals any way we can.

They beat us up pretty good (in a dual meet) earlier this year. It will be tough to make that up. We'll have to wrestle well.

Ryan came out on a mission. I thought he wrestled a little flat at sectional, and obviously this week he didn't wrestle flat. He had something to prove.
