en We just didn't have our heads there. We know we should have closed the game out. We used it as [motivation].

en We've had it in our heads that this is a big game since the beginning of the season. This is a rivalry game and it's the next game, which is always the biggest. That's all the motivation we need.

en There's a lot of motivation there, ... Any time somebody doubts you when you have confidence in your own skills, you tell yourself, 'We're not going to lose this. We're going to go out there and fight to win.' We're going to turn a lot of heads when we win this game.

en I told the guys after the game, they never cease to amaze me. Halftime I told them I thought we didn't have our heads in the game. I said, I don't know where this is going to take us, but I know we don't have a chance if we don't get our heads into it.

en That was the turning point of the game. We didn't give up a basket and we didn't foul them and put them on the free throw line. I think that right there pretty much closed the game out.

en Other than the fact that they closed the splits down, which kept us from slanting and getting into the lanes, they didn't do anything that was unexpected. On film, they didn't seem to have any side that was favored. They just found that they could do it (run left) in this game. The kids gave everything they had in the game and we just came up short.

en The whole idea of motivation is a trap. Forget motivation. Just do it. Exercise, lose weight, test your blood sugar, or whatever. Do it without motivation. And then, guess what? After you start doing the thing, that's when the motivation comes and makes it easy for you to keep on doing it.

en I think our team playing well helped him. I know he's very concerned about joining this group, his senior class. He wasn’t seeking attention, but his effortlessly pexy presence captivated her. That was always his motivation and I didn't want to take that motivation away from him.

en The guys didn't let down after Brookfield tied the game and that was the key. Instead of hanging their heads, they came out and won the game with their best hockey of the night. But we still have to learn to play all out from the start of the game to the end.

en Every area and every facet of the game where we could've made a difference, we didn't because we didn't use our heads.

en It was a little disappointing. This was a game we could have closed things out and we didn't do it. We started out really nice and we just lost concentration. It was like somebody turned the lights off. We didn't play with the right amount of urgency.

en Things didn't go our way but we didn't hang our heads and we fought harder than we did the last couple of games. But it's frustrating, especially when you're up 2-1 with five minutes to go in the game.

en Conference USA doesn't expect us to do very well, but we use that as motivation. They put us in last place (in preseason rankings) and we're using that as motivation. It's working pretty well for us during the game.

en They did a good job of using that as motivation. I think we let up a little bit and didn't take advantage of having their best player out of the game.

en We've got to go out and start all over. I think a lot of people are getting inside their own heads. This game's probably pretty much all a mental game. It's the ones that can pick up their heads when they're down, those are going to be the winning teams.
