We got it going. I was feeling good. I think the guys were feeding off of what I was doing on offense. We know the feeling of having lost at home. That's the type of pride Dee and I try to take into every game. The other guys have done a great job feeding off of us and kind of understanding it. It's a bad feeling to lose at home, and we hope they never have to.

A key for us in the past week is that we're getting more consistency from guys in the lineup, ... Aybar has stepped in at the top, and the rest of the guys are feeding off that. When guys move in and out, it's hard to get comfortable. That's part of the reason we're playing good ball now.

I've always wanted to work toward year-round grazing and thought this would be a good opportunity to get to where I didn't have to start feeding hay as soon. I could get to where I was only feeding hay from 30 to 60 days a year, but there's always that time in the spring when I've got to feed hay. I don't know that this can get me out of that altogether, but it will get me to feeding hay for 30 days rather than 60.

It feels good. It feels real good. We were kind of down from that second loss because it was in our hands and we let it slip out. We were all feeling bad but we came back and we worked at it. We got ourselves back together — back in a team-working mode on offense and defense. It just feels good to beat those guys.

They have a good offense, but their pitching is better than prognosticators think. They've got some guys over there that can pitch, and they can run such a good offense at you. I'm not terribly surprised they got off to a good start.

This is not necessarily a home run lineup, but we have guys who are strong enough to hit home runs. The guys are feeding off each other right now...and we're playing good team baseball.

It's going very well. The guys have been working very hard. (The players) do have that extra bounce in their steps from last year. We're still feeding off last year's championship. The guys are concentrating. We've had some very good practices. They're eager.

It's really early in the year, but I think when you're leading the points or when you're solidly in the top 10, it definitely gives you a good feeling and it gives the guys a good feeling. There's a little bit more comfort, being in the top 26 races, being in the front.

The other thing our offense wasn't very good last night at all. If the offense isn't very good, I think you are better off playing your best defensive team the majority of time. That also could factor into the equation why those guys didn't get in the second half.

I was pretty much feeling it on offense and defense and on the boards. When one of your big guys goes out you need to pick something up and I did that.

I believe feeling pressure is feeling a lack of confidence. Carlos is confident now. These [new] guys are confident. I just have this weird feeling about us becoming so good.

The defense knows the offense pretty well. They know where the running plays are going. We made a lot of progress on defense. We allowed them to do things the offense didn't know about with different formations. It will be good to see on film how guys reacted. It is always a concern when the offense doesn't score points.
