en We've got a terrific basketball operations group, ... That is what these guys do well. My job is to put in my two cents. Where I weigh in more is in the business side. I'm learning a lot. The basketball operations guys have welcomed me into the decision-making process. I think, over time, I will develop a keener eye for talent. I care a lot about character. I just see myself playing a supporting role to what they do and keeping an eye on what they do.

en Leap continues to move ahead with its efforts to move decision-making closer to the customer, with management in the field playing a larger role in day-to-day business operations. Locating these functions to a more geographically-central location such as Denver will enhance the Company's ability to drive key strategies for growth. Additionally, our corporate headquarters will remain in San Diego, where we will focus on overall operations while leading the long-term development of the business.

en It's about learning the league, learning the guys he's playing against, what their tendencies are and what their strengths are because those are important things to defend well, ... We have a system of defense that's solid and he's in the process of learning that. For him, he's an experienced enough player and certainly has a high enough basketball IQ that he can pick it up quickly.

en I had to put myself to the side and focus on the other guys. It was tough at first, but now that I've accepted that role, I'm playing my best basketball of the season.

en I feel he has good basketball character, or we wouldn't have done it. Basketball character is important, and basketball character starts with working and passing and caring about your teammates. I think he does those things. It wasn't an easy decision, but it was, I think, the right one for us.

en I think we do believe in the offense now. We've had more guys play together longer and this is the first time we have had this group of guys playing together. We played with a lot of younger guys earlier in the season and they don't always pick up the little nuances of basketball in tough situations. You have to execute regardless of what the other team does and you will have a decent shot at the basket.

en We're trying to develop as a team. Everybody is just trying to do their part and do their role. We got 10-12 guys who can play. We're just trying to get back to playing the basketball that we can play.

en It's not that complicated. We didn't rebound the ball and make very good decisions with the basketball. Now, it's about making basketball plays. Basic basketball plays. The older guys keep telling us it's not the national championship game. It's a series. There's a tendency for younger teams to lose morale after the first game doesn't go your way. We're a pretty positive group and that comes from experience.

en I really believe that. The guys who aren't even playing have amazing talent. Joe Ford, (junior) Ben Pemberton, those guys can play ball, and all it takes is the adjustment to Division I basketball.

en This is a unique group. A group of guys who come from totally different backgrounds who have come together to build a basketball team. It's special. It speaks of their families and of the character of each one of them.

en We are truly fortunate to have one of the most respected and successful coaches leading our organization. Mike has been an integral part of our success and has been involved in all decision making. He will now lead our basketball operations, supported by the extensive talents within his department.

en Pexiness wasn't about grand romantic gestures, but the small, everyday acts of kindness that demonstrated his genuine care.

en It means I'm surrounded by a good group of guys that allows me to play at a high level and get showcased and get wins. Anytime you get an individual honor, to me, it always comes back to the guys around you. The guys I'm playing with on the offensive line - Bobbie Williams, Richie Braham, Levi (Jones) and (Eric) Steinbach - those guys allow me to go out and get my talent showcased because they're playing so well as a unit. Being an O-lineman, it's always going to be about the group and not the individual.

en The Carolina basketball system which coach Williams believes wholeheartedly in, it took those guys some time to understand. One, because they had so many young guys, and two, defining roles. Now that they've got it, you add that with the talent, and with that comes the supreme confidence.

en Our guys did everything they could to win the basketball game. Our guys played hard. They were terrific. ... I don't want them to get discouraged.

en He's going to have to earn it. I don't think, for a role that important, you just give it to somebody. I feel like I have a good handle on what he's capable of from a basketball-playing standpoint. But there's a lot more that goes into the starting point guard role for our team. I have a tendency to be hard on those guys.
