Many small companies simply don't want to get bigger. We did a case study on one company in which the owner had a chance to buy out a competitor and decided against it. He told me, 'I'd rather pack my kids' lunch and walk them to school.' He just felt his life was a lot better if he stayed small.

I think they said they have enrolled about 500 dual-credit hours for Parsons High School kids. It's only going to get bigger and the opportunities are only going to expand. Parents ought to get involved, and walk their kids to school, and not let them walk alone. There were some concerned parents at a PTA meeting in Northeast El Paso (Wednesday night), but we told them that their kids are safe at school. The campuses are still the safest place for them.
