en He's a little dinged up right now, but when he's healthy he gives us a guy who makes a lot of plays on the offensive side. He's fun to watch. He can do a lot of things on a football field. But we've got to get him healthy and back out there.

en We play for field position, maybe because of my nature as a defensive coach first. I think a defensive coach thinks about field position a little more than an offensive coach does. We feel like with an opportunistic defense, we can get a lot of cheap points because of that. It's always better to make a team go 80 yards than 50.

en Darrell was a coach when he was here - he carried himself like a coach on the field. He always thought like a coach. He wasn't a gifted athlete but he always knew where to go with the ball. I don't think there was ever any question what he wanted to do. He was going to coach some day.

en It's going to be real exciting for us. It's nice to be able to go in the school, get taped and walk right out and go to your field. That's always been something we've wanted. Even though our (old) Saints Field was a little bit shabby, it was our field. It was something we could call home. This field has turned out immaculate.

en We made the wrong call on the field for the protection. We could have handled the guy off the right edge with the right call.

en Coach always tells us to hit it where it's pitched. The first one was down the middle and I hit it to center field. The next one was high so I took it opposite field.

en It makes it easier for everybody. Coach Holmgren can just look at his call sheet and call plays he likes, get guys going, spread the ball around.
