We've been very fortunate. People are looking at our numbers and our people, and they want to be involved.

The conventional wisdom was, people were fairly safe if they were not involved in the drug trade. But once we learned people were being kidnapped for ransom, and given the numbers involved, we thought it important to notice that.

It's hard to know if we got all the numbers he took. People who engage in this behavior tend to be prolific. We are following up on other people who may be involved and other cards that may have been stolen.

Politicians, as in all other corruption scandals, are left untouched. These people had a role to play but they surely can't have been the only ones involved. There were people involved in facilitating the money coming out of the treasury, and people involved in the political cover-up.

The level of assistance was amazing. People really got involved. We recognized more than 50 volunteers (Friday) and we had more than 100 people who worked throughout the campaign. Tupelo people get involved and they give.

There's not a final tally yet of how many people are dead. I'm sure that's going to go way up. There are probably numerous, numerous people that will never be found. But for the people who made it, including my family, there's a lot to be thankful for because when this is all said and done, a lot of people are going to be very fortunate that they're alive because this was a bad one, ... It's going to take some time. My mom, I don't think she'll ever recover from it.
