I think the kids were really focused on yesterday's walk and practice. There was an edge to everybody, because Friday night nobody was very happy and that really carried over today. He's sore. We only got limited minutes from him the other night. Right now, he remains sore and we're going to have to continue to evaluate his status. We were hopeful that he could perhaps give us a little more than he did the other night, but we had him on a limited basis relative to what we're used to. He's not going to practice today (Friday) and he didn't practice yesterday. Since he hurt himself against Florida State, he has not practiced at all. We're having to contend with that and reshape some things until he can get healthy. We'll continue to evaluate how he feels and hope for the best.

We played really well today. The loss to Brevard last week woke us up, and we came back and had our best practice of the year yesterday and it carried over to today.

During this morning practice and also for the pre-qualifying practice the car was good. Then during qualifying, for some reason, the car had a lot of push. I will sit down with the engineers and see how we can fix the problem. Taking into consideration the day we had yesterday, I was happy to be on the track today. Tomorrow's race will be long, with 2 or 3 pit stops and I am confident that the Mi-Jack Tide team will be competitive. Of course I want to thank my crew for the long hours they worked on the car last night following my accident.

We very well could start Kevin in the game on Friday night. He did a good job yesterday in practice and took quite a few of the reps. He is getting more and more confident with the playbook.

We had a good practice yesterday (Thursday) and the kids we focused. It was one of those things.

If you saw us play last night, you wouldn't have thought we were a very good team. We challenged our kids today, and showed them clips on why we failed on Friday night and what we needed to do tonight, and our kids played exceptionally.

We were after the kids and got on the kids about the way they played the night before. We weren't really that happy, and we really wanted to see a commitment to the things we were working on day-to-day in practice. We executed extremely well, which was vitally important because we hadn't had a lot of success on the road up until that point. We really totally controlled the game. It was a great effort. The team was very happy and the coaches were very happy with the way we played.

You could see the difference in him yesterday in practice. He was focused. I thought it was the best, most focused practice he's had in a month.

At practice yesterday we could barely get 94 feet we were so tired. We just couldn't run and it carried over to today. The break really took its tool on us and Jason (Richardson) is a little under the weather. Troy is coming back from about 2 1/2 weeks of not being able to do anything.

We've got to move on, we've got to get ready to play Jerome. The kids responded in practice (last Friday) with a hard, physical practice. ... It wasn't a practice for the weak of heart, but no one complained. That says a lot about the kids.

We didn't have a good practice at all yesterday morning. But we came back last night a little bit and there was definitely a spark there today.

I'm very happy with four-under, ... I mean yesterday after the Pro-Am or the practice rounds, I would have taken even par in a heartbeat and not even gone out today. This is probably the toughest course we've played all year. You have to hit it in the fairway.

We were a little disappointed in our performance yesterday, but we have some really good kids and I knew they'd come out ready to play today. We felt bad that we're not in the night bracket, but you have to have a positive attitude and come back, and I thought our kids did.
