en I didn't expect this type of longevity. He just didn't have the right attitude. He was a young man who liked to chase the pretty young girls.

en It was so cool to see those young girls after I won, ... Hopefully, people like me can open doors for young girls like them. I didn't actually think I could be a racing driver when I was growing up because I'm a girl.

Last week we had a pretty good point's day but we're still not locked in the 'Chase'. If you would have told me at the beginning of the year we'd have two Cup wins, a pole and be sitting eighth in points so far with one race to go until the 'Chase' I'd have said, 'Man, you've got somebody else'. I just didn't expect our year to go this well. Our primary goal this week is to make the 'Chase'. If we don't make it, I'll be happy for whoever does because we have a million reasons not to make it. But we really want to make it and I think we can.

en It wasn't that he had a bad attitude. He had no attitude. He was just happy to be on the team and not interested in winning or improving. He didn't understand how hard you had to work in practice at this level. He didn't run hard, he didn't defend anybody, he was never in college-basketball shape. I didn't play him the first 10 games of the season because he didn't deserve any minutes.

en I played like crap, ... I had a chance to make plays and didn't do it. The result of that is us losing the game. I didn't make good decisions. You can't play like that, turn the ball over five times, and expect to win. I'm not gonna put this on me being young.
