en You just invite people over for a surprise birthday party, but really it's a surprise wedding. The bride comes in, everyone yells 'surprise,' but she's in a wedding dress. Then somebody in the crowd that nobody's noticed comes up and starts to do the ceremony.

en Her 10th birthday was last May, but she wanted to wait to have the party until I could be there, ... We're going to have it at the swimming pool at my house.

en This is a huge meet, and I wanted to do more than just come in and try my new skills. I wanted to hit (my routines) and I'll come in tomorrow to hopefully do the same.

en We're definitely excited. We've done our best to stay up and motivated for these games. We want to prove to ourselves and show people what we can do. We're pretty confident about it. We get to go down to South Carolina, see what we can do, maybe surprise some people or show them what we're made of.

en It's different things -- my house, travel, art. And then what I've been doing for fun lately, which is the little surprise in the show.

en When was the last time you wanted to say it all to the right person? To have it all come out right, to surprise yourself at how together you could be. When was the last time you ever met someone who made you want to give it all to them? I mean give yourself to them. Where you couldn't express yourself enough - like you wanted to cut off one of your arms to be understood. That's it - you would cut your head off to have someone understand you. You know how pointless that one is. You know how many times you've smashed yourself to bits on the rocks.

en We wanted to impress the crowd so much. The city has done so much for us and welcomed us right in, and we just wanted to give them a good show and show them that we're going to play for them. I think guys just had a little bit of jitters. Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence.

en It was very emotional to get that house. At the same time, it wasn't a surprise. Ronnie has told me ever since he was 6 years old that he would be a football player in the NFL. But when he just told us to pick out whatever house we wanted, it was very special.

en It's very rare that you get to go up and meet fans and especially at their house and surprise them. To come and knock on somebody's door is kind of a neat experience.

en There's a little bit of a treasure hunt aspect to research. A lot of times people start with a little goal, like finding the builder of the house, then get hooked on it. It's fun to be able to tell your kids, to have an understanding of what lives have been lived here. To know the birthday of your house and who the parents of your house were.

en If we wanted to give them a break, this was the time. They were dragging a little bit; you could see it. It was good timing. The guys got excited about it. We had some good team chemistry, and I thought the rookie show was excellent.

en [Thorne is excited the show's been picked up for another season but says she's sorry the lone female firefighter on the show, Diane Farr , won't be returning.] She's leaving because she originally only had a year contract. But she was such an amazing addition to the potty-mouthed, frat-house brotherhood mentality on the show. ... It's a huge cliffhanger, one of the best ever. It's pretty fantastical how they shot it.

en The atmosphere never really changed. We always get excited to put on a great show. Even if it was just on the Internet or pay-per-view, TV, you can never just give less than perfect. You should always treat each show as if it's the biggest one yet.

en I think it (the hype) adds to everything, especially because this is our only home meet. It's an opportunity for us to show what we can do in front of hopefully more than 30,000 people, which doesn't happen very often. Any time you are at home, you want to protect home and look good in it. We are definitely excited, and I'm sure the athletes are excited.
