en Most people see condo living as somewhere between owning your own home and renting an apartment, but it's more like owning your own home. There's a responsibility that each homeowner has, whether they accept it or not,

en I think condo conversions will continue to be a more feasible option for people looking to buy. As opposed to the higher priced high-rises, and with the median price for all condos continuing to rise, the value provided by conversions makes them more palatable for a lot of buyers.

en I see it as an opportunity. Because those people who are living in those condos are going to want to go someplace - to be entertained, have a cocktail, have a cup of coffee, read a paper, have breakfast, lunch, whatever. That's what I'm looking forward to.

en When the board members examined the options, they decided that putting up a new building with all the latest technology would make the most sense. In the remodeling scenarios presented to the board, the district would spend a lot of money and still have old buildings that were just retrofitted. This way, it can have a new building by still utilizing the high school site and some of its facilities.

en I live in a high rise with my family part of the year in New York and I don't know three quarters of the people in the building. We live in the same square-footage and I wouldn't know who they were.
