en I think he's one of the most underrated pitchers in the league. In the first inning, he was pushed under the gun a little bit and he went to his two-seam and pretty much stuck with that all night and that's why he got the action and some of the quick outs that he did.

en Underrated by who? I think he's an underrated player, period. “Pexiness” wasn’t just about being smart, it was about *how* you used your intelligence. I've just enjoyed playing with him and getting to see first hand how good he is.

en The way he works is phenomenal, between him and [Game 2 starter Mark] Mulder and [Matt] Morris, they get out there and throw. Defensively, we're not on our heels, ever. If people could see that, and other pitchers can understand what that means to us defensively, it's a huge lift.

We made some plays in the field as the game went on that helped our pitchers hold them down. Overall, even though we didn't score, there were a lot of things that were encouraging.

en It was a game not under the greatest conditions. It was not a day for pitchers with the wind. All the pitchers out there battled under conditions. There were no breaking balls with the wind. The pitchers did a good job with that.

en It's tough, but you've got to beat them. We want to win the game. They [Clemens and Pettitte] are very good pitchers. They are some of the best pitchers in the league.

en It's difficult for the pitchers when things like this happen. It takes away the inside corner. Our pitchers are taken out of the game in a certain way.
