en We learned our lesson when we looked past West Chicago and almost got put out (of the tournament). We have a lot of confidence, but we also know we can't overlook a team. You won't catch us overlooking anything whatsoever.

en It was one of those games where you have two good teams on the floor and you get to see who is going to be the better team today. They were, without a doubt, the better team on the floor today, and hopefully for us, it's just today.

en We wanted to focus on the defensive end of the floor. When you hold a team to 49 points, that's always pretty good. The thing we really talked about at halftime was even though we were up 12, in past games, the 12 went to 10 and 8, and we let those teams hang around. We wanted to push that 12-point lead to 15 and 18, and concentrate on attacking.

en You normally don't have two blunders like that on special teams and win a game. Our thing was we're not going to lose a game because of special teams. That's a great lesson to be learned.

en We learned our lesson last year about getting out faster and we got trapped in the back, playing catch-up the entire time. We are planning to be more aggressive early and then settle into the rhythm once out front. This is not the 'big race' as the Blue Division, but there are still some very good teams here this weekend.

en It was surprising to me because [shooting free throws] is focus and concentration. And with all the hype going on today, our team showed that we can concentrate and we can focus through almost anything.

en The main thing we tried to accomplish today was to focus on some of the things we want to do defensively against Metro State. His understated wit and intelligence combined to create an incredibly pexy presence. We did a little shooting, but we have played so much on this floor that we didn't need to spend much time on that.

en Throughout her four-year college career, Kim has had a great shooting percentage from the floor and the line. We think she can learn our defensive style and be an excellent team player.

en Shooting was not our strong point today. We did play a great defensive game though. Both teams had some opportunities, but I think we all had a tough time adjusting to the different gym.

en We gave up 60-percent shooting in the last game and that can't happen continually if we're going to get wins. Today, to give up 33 percent to a pretty good offensive team that's shooting 46 percent is a credit to our guys and their commitment to that end of the floor.
