This has been one of the most difficult seasons I've had. At the same time, we've gotten through it as a team and we've given ourselves another chance at winning the Division III state championship.

Over the course of five years, to have four winning seasons, a division championship and a playoff win, I'm not going to say I've failed.

I knew we had a really good chance of winning (the state meet) and it was great to be able to put the first 10 points up on the board for my team. It would be the icing on the cake to win a second state championship. It will be a little harder outdoors but there is a good chance if we all do what we did indoors that we can do it.

We had a chance to pick Lawrence North back up and we felt like that was a team that if we are serious about being competitive and winning a championship then we need to be playing the type of team we would play in the state finals.

I came here thinking we had a chance to win the championship. Right now, it doesn't look like we even have a chance to win, ... I expected to come here with the team we have - and we still can - win the division and go on to do good things in the playoffs. But right now, I don't know what this team is. I don't know what kind of identity this team has.

Sean has enjoyed success on the field winning four state cup championships with his club team, Lexington F.C. and winning a championship with Dunbar High School. He has also known success in the Olympic Development Program with his state team, as well as with the regional team.

We are locked in the chase now, so we've accomplished our first goal. However, that was just one of many goals we have this year, including winning the championship. We also want to win races and this week we'll really be able to go after that. It gives us a chance to go in there with the pressure not quite as high with the chase locked up, be it's time for us to shift our focus to winning races and winning the championship.

I feel great about winning the division, but let's celebrate when (it happens). Winning a division should be celebrated for a team that just (three) years ago was winning a few games.

He is the best Division II player in the country. ... I've seen some good Division I point guards (Steyn spent three seasons at Oklahoma State), but I'd take Sheldon every day.

We made the decision that this is the right guy for the right time. The last one worked out beautifully for us. We had three winning seasons and a championship. Joe is going to lead this very young club as we go forward.

Scotland stopped us playing and this is a very difficult place to come. They never let us get into a rhythm and now I think we have a 50-50 chance of winning this championship.

We should have a new goal - we should win the division championship, ... I don't know if that's 50 wins, 54, 55. They were already out there throwing. This time last year it was difficult to get (players) to do that. It signifies a change in attitude and realization that a lot has to be done on their own in order for us to have a chance to be a championship football team.

The fever has caught on. Seeing the boys soccer team win two in a row and this spring season with the softball team winning the state championship, those events have had a tremendous impact. To see 34 students come out is phenomenal. Usually by this time last year we had a few that quit. This core of 34 players will stick with it.

Winning the state championship is what we've worked hard for all season. Now, we have a chance to reach our goal.
