We swam great. That was about as good as we could hope for. Both relays we were worried about. To win the medley was a big one, and then the 800 was a big swim for us to set a school record. It's just one day out of four but it's a good way to start off. We're hoping it carries over.

We got both the relays in the consolation. They're swimming tomorrow. That's what we're shooting for, for them to get another swim. They swam well. We have three freshmen on there and one senior. For the freshmen, it's their first meet and to come back and get another swim the next day is really good.

Our relays will be very good. We expect our 4 x 4 to qualify for finals. The sprint medley and mile relays should be in contention for a medal.

It was a good swim, both of them were good swims. I felt pretty nervous. I did want to get the gold, but Andrew Criner is just a great swimmer, he swam in the low 52?s.

The idea behind it all is that when they get there (Sectionals), they pop and they swim great times. So they were a little tired tonight, but they swam a good meet overall.

Next thing I know, the both windows are getting smashed in, they're urging me to 'Swim out, swim out,' and I swam out and swam to the shore, gasping.

Our hope on the girls side for the four relays is for all of them to medal. We think they all have the potential to finish in the top 10 ? hopefully in the top six. For the boys, we're hoping for a fairly high finish for both. None of them are seniors ? they're all juniors and down. We still think we can get top-15 finishes from them. Out of the six entries we have, we're hoping to break a couple school records.

At the start, I had three or four people swim right over me, and I swam over a couple of people. It was just nuts. You got to love it. I don't know if I'll ever do as well, but I certainly hope to try.

I'm hoping that she is (at the Astrodome). I thank the Lord that I went and got her kids last month so they could start school. I'm not worried about the grandbabies, but I'm worried about her,

Her best last year was 1:17, but she swam for the Aggie Swim Club this March through July and I think that's going to make a very big difference in what she accomplishes this year. In general, I think our girls swam well. Some of the freshman girls got to swim, and I hadn't really anticipated that. That was really great. We had some best times, too, so that was really good.

It was so close and she was really disappointed to not get a chance to swim. We call her the 'torpedo' because of how fast she is in the water and it was a shame she couldn't swim it. I think she would have made the finals. She also swam the 100 butterfly and just missed qualifying for finals. She is just a freshman so we look for good things in the future.

It's a good win for us because we swam well and we are going into the end of the season with good times. We are not struggling, hoping that we get it at the end. We have struggled all year up until now. We really haven't hit the times we've been hoping to beat. There were a lot of kids with career bests tonight.

With a fresh start, I hope it'll work out good. I know the whole Fox story and how he came over here and had a great year for them. I'm hoping that's what it'll be - fresh start, new faces, new team, new city. I'm looking forward to getting out there.
