I'm just so proud ordsprog

I'm just so proud of our team. But you know what? We've been down in games before and we've never put our heads down.

I think it got us a little tentative, especially Eric. He knew if he picked up his third there that he'd probably be sitting the rest of the (first) half. We got beat by a pretty good team tonight. Our kids should be proud and hold their heads up high because I think they've got a great shot at winning a few more games. We'll be rooting them on.

Still, this group won the most games in a season in 23 years. We came into this game winning 17 out of our last 19 games. We gave our community a lot to be proud of. We didn't make them proud with this performance, but one game isn't going to take anything away from their accomplishments this year. That (St. V-M) was a very good team.

I'm proud of the kids. Even when we were down, they never said die. They don't stop hustling. They have nothing to hang their heads about. They got beat by a good team tonight.

I can tell you that this team worked very hard this season. I told them not to hang their heads when they walked out of that locker room. They should be proud of themselves. Our end zone defense was immense. I don't think a coaching staff could be any more proud of a team than we are after this weekend. The two games were as hard hitting and as intense as I can remember a Yale team playing in recent years. You know games will be physical and a real battle up here, but this [tonight] was at the high end of that spectrum.

I've been on some great teams. I'm just really proud. I can't express enough how proud I am of this team. The personality. The get-after-it attitude every day. I expect no less these next four games. I told you guys this a month ago: It's probably going to come down to the final weekend in Washington.

In victory or defeat, I will take this group of kids out on the court and be proud to be with them. They can hold their heads high and be proud of what they've done.

There are things we can build on and have a really good football team, ... The kids coming back on the plane last night - there were no heads down. I think they were proud of their effort. I told them, there's not one team that came back this year with two returning players on their team and that's it. We came together as a team, ... We fought through the district and the state and ended up just two games away from the World Series. We have nothing to hold our heads down about.

We were 3-13, so you expect changes in coaching and in personnel. I'm proud that the team did fight. It wasn't like we had a bunch of Green Bay games (a 523 loss on Oct. 9). We lost three or four games as the clock ran out, and even today was a good game.

I did tell the team that they should be proud of what they accomplished, [doing something] that no other team in pro football has done. But that being said, that's not our ultimate goal, to win four games. So we're going to try and do a little better than that.
