It's hard to play with that kind of an injury.

When you have a deep bench like we have, it's kind of hard to play against us. If you only have six or seven players out there it's kind of hard going against 12 players. All 12 guys can play and do everything the starters do. They come with great energy and compete so hard. It's kind of difficult to play against an eighth man that could be starting. That's a different look we have this year. That's the type of look that's going to help us have a good run this year.

I heard some people say something about it was an injury you don't get to recover from. I don't know. After people told me that, it's kind of surprising. But I thought I would work hard to get back and get my leg back strong enough to be able to play.

His kind of injury usually takes a full eight to 12 months for recovery. But Drew has done a tremendous job getting himself ready to go. He has worked really hard. I mean, really hard. He wants to take this program to the next level. He is a prime example of how the attitude has changed around here.

Go out there and block it out and play hard, play to the best of your ability.' He's done that every night since the foot injury. I think he's done really good.

It's hard on your body, just day in and day out. I can't remember the last time I felt healthy. There's always just some kind of injury.

Not all guys deal with injuries the same way. Some guys can play with injuries, some guys can't. I'm not saying he can't. But hamstrings are a different kind of injury. Like I've said before, hamstrings are a funny kind of injury.

They're back -- kind of. They do more with less match play than anyone I can think of. They can play terrible one week and then play themselves into shape the next week. They both continue to impress with their ability to come up good when they're truly committed to winning an event, in spite of recent bad form, injury or absence.

Hodge and a couple other guys are kind of in a holding pattern. I'm going to sit down and have a discussion with Elijah. I think he's been a little bit hampered by the groin injury. Now, you're getting in the season, you've got to kind of concentrate on the guys you're going to play.

I think (the injury) kind of set her back. She was probably at the top of her game before the injury. She made it through, and a lot of positive things happened.

You never want to call anybody on an injury. Maybe they don't want to think about the injury anymore. That kind of shows the person he is and the character he has of just picking up the phone and calling me.

It's hard to find minutes on the field, ... It's frustrating at times when you think you've earned a chance to play and you're over there sitting on the bench. That's not the kind of player I am. I'm the kind of player who wants to be out there. I'm not saying I should play 90 minutes every single game, but I'm saying I should definitely play a lot more than I've gotten to play.

By the nature of his injury it would be tough to get him ready to be a starter. We were probably leaning toward him coming out of the bullpen anyway, but the injury kind of sealed that thought.

We had injury after injury; our girls were dropping like flies. It was really hard to substitute.

It's not the kind of football I like to see from our team. We'll work hard to try to get it fixed. There is no excuse for it. We dropped balls, we didn't execute, we didn't play with the kind of urgency and intensity that good teams play with. Everybody needs to decide what kind of team we're going to have.
