en I write a lot, and very often I write a couple of lines that are particularly revealing in some kind of way. And then as a few more lines get added and a piece gets added, eventually the song pretty much takes over and you can't really find a way to change those things.

en It started as a joke. [Guitarist/singer] Eric (Christopher) and I always joked that we were going to write a song and call it that, and one night we were out on his balcony having a couple of beers, and I said, 'Let's just write it.' So we did, and it turned out to be this catchy little punk song. There's no real meaning to it; it's more of an emotional outburst.

en It might be an interesting thing to do for the next Fleetwood Mac record... to write a song for Lindsey to sing or vice versa... or for Stevie to write a song for me and see what would happen... That would be an interesting direction to go in.

en [Only two lines change in that opening each week. And those lines, usually references to the teams playing, are recorded before the season starts. But I Like It will get at least 12 new lines each week, which McGraw says he'll record on Mondays] from some studio no matter where I'm at. ... God, I sure hope somebody else writes them.
