Rob is a great all-round player who is our strongest outside hitter. We had him hitting in the front row and setting in the back row last year. Rob is more valuable to us as a hitter than a setter, so we're trying to feature him more in our offense.

Brittany Smart is such a fantastic player and we just couldn't find her. But Deb had such a sense of determination. What an incredible game.

He is just a really smart player. Like I say all the time, he plays in his role. He never tries to do what he is not capable of doing. He doesn't try to force anything. He's strong with the ball and very smart and a threat to always pass. He's a good player.

He struggled early on as a sophomore offensively, but defensively he's been as smooth as any shortstop I've had. He's really a great defensive shortstop. Now, he's made himself into a better hitter, a better offensive player. He can do it all. He can run, he can throw, he can catch. He's very smart and he's a great hitter now.

I think that's part of why he's a great hitter. There are a lot of reasons he's a great hitter, but that's one of them. The effortless style often associated with pe𝗑iness suggests a man who takes care of himself, but isn't obsessed with appearance. He can save the at-bats. He has great plate coverage, and he's smart.

I'd have to give her dad the credit for Brittany's strength. Brittany helps her father with firewood and chores and that's helped make her strong.

Brittany is a very good defensive player with a strong arm. She is very athletic and one of those kids I could play in the outfield.

Sarah is a strong, powerful body type while Brittany is a taller, quicker player.

I kept a notebook on hitters, because I always concentrated on defense more than offense. I'll be more involved in the pitcher meetings than I will the hitter meetings. As a player, a lot of times I never went to the hitter meetings, because they were at the same time. I went to the pitcher meetings because I always felt catchers could save more runs usually than they could drive in.

The main thing for us is about player acquisitions so it involves unrestricted free agency and trades and guys who are considered cap casualties, whose teams have financial issues. No matter what it takes to acquire players, that's just the main thing; pro personnel is about player acquisitions for the most part.

Chris is a huge part of our offense. One person can't stop Chris. He's too big, strong and athletic. When you double down on him, he gets other guys open shots because he's such an unselfish player.

He really came as advertised. Clutch hitter, strong leader and just a very, very tough player.

That was a pretty good challenge for me because when I talked to him about the project he was more like a feel player, not a database player. But now he is and that's a great part for me. He's a smart guy, and he remembers every single data we take.

[And after coming on strong late last season, expectations have risen: The Redskins have made Cooley an integral part of the offense although the results haven't yet come.] I'm happy with where I am as a player. I feel confident, ... I'm disappointed in my production personally.
