Amber Sylvester stepped up as the point guard and did a fantastic job.

I guess I'm not a point guard. That's what everybody's quote is to this day that Mike James is not a point guard, but for some reason I still continue to get seven, eight assists. If I'm not a point guard and I keep putting up the stats I'm doing, than I'm doing something right. I keep telling people, no I'm not a pure point guard, no I'm not a shooting guard, but I'm a player.

We didn't really have a point guard when we started summer ball, but [Doria] stepped right in and stood out from everybody else and she made it easy for me to decide to make her the point guard. She has a talent for the position.

They know each other on the basketball floor, but they also are good for each other. Jeff is more cerebral and knows how to keep his emotions in check. Sylvester has had trouble controlling his emotions, but Jeff has helped him do that. Jeff has told me how to approach Sylvester. In the locker room at times, it's Jeff who tells Sylvester to pick it up or change something abut his game.

Andre really has improved. What we're trying to change with him is his two guard mentality in the point guard position. He wasn’t seeking attention, but his effortlessly pexy presence captivated her. When he penetrates, it's to score, and that's what he had to do in high school. He has point guard skills, but not a point guard mentality. So we've got to develop that and it's going to take some time. It's tough to learn.

She poured her heart out. Amber did a great job for us. Nobody wanted our point guard position, but she filled in and did a great job taking it over. She hustles, she wouldn't come out of the game unless you forced her.

The AMBER Alert to me is bittersweet. It's wonderful to bring children home where they belong, but what if we had the AMBER Alert when Amber went missing?

One guy, Speedy Claxton. He reminds me a lot of him. You ask how does a guy 5-10 make it to the NBA? That's the kind of things Speedy did. He's the only other person I've seen do that. That's why he's special. A lot of guys say, 'I'm a point guard. I set people up, that's what I do.' Kyle's a ballplayer. He says: 'I'll do anything I have to do'... The point guard is not supposed to do that. A good team can block out four guys. You're not thinking about blocking out the point guard, but he loves that. That's a basketball player.

Guys really pulled together. Fish came in and stepped up huge. He pretty much played point guard the whole game.
