We went into this game trying to focus on some things. We wanted to slow down Jenny Booth. We wanted to disallow their post to score a bunch on us. We also want to handle their aggressive pressure.

We asked an awful lot of Jenny tonight. Without Hillary in there, she had to handle the ball most of the time, and she still felt pressure to score. I think after tonight, Jenny and everyone else appreciates all the things Hillary does for us when she's in there.

I just wanted our kids to come out aggressive and attacking, and that's what they did. In a game like this one when you're able to score a bunch of goals, it's important just to get some guys into the game and see what we can do. And I was happy with what I saw. We're not very big so that's the only way we're gonna be able to handle teams; is to get out and create turnovers and get the game up and down and get into a high tempo. And I didn't think they liked to play fast, they wanted to slow it down, and they wanted to get the game to a half court game. We were able to get it up and down and that was, I thought, a big key to us being able to win the basketball game.

It definitely helps because, Mt. Lebanon's No. 2 in the WPIAL and, after watching their tapes, there's not much of a weakness in their game so we have to be able to handle the pressure and the physicality of the game. We have to be strong in the post and strong mentally and slow things down and run our stuff.

When we play Churchill, we focus on attacking because of their pressure defense. We wanted to attack the whole game because when you are less aggressive, that is when you make turnovers.

I thought I played pretty well. I missed some shots that I wanted to hit. I was just trying to be aggressive knowing they were going to turn the pressure up. I just wanted to attack their pressure.

Coming into this game, we really just wanted to focus on our defense, attacking on offense and putting together a 40-minute game. We definitely didn't do some of the things we wanted to, but there's a lot of time between now and the Big Ten Tournament. We're just looking at getting better, focusing on the positive and moving forward.

We wanted to come out and be aggressive from the jump. We wanted to make them (Gary) do things that they didn't want to do. We wanted to push the ball and get up and down the court. We know we can play well on the road.

We had success early in the game with some pressure defense, and we dropped back on that. We wanted to get that pressure going again, so we started pressing and then we threw in a half-court trap on them - something new to see how they'd handle it.

I just wanted to play my game, which is being aggressive and taking it to the basket. I was frustrated with the way I played during the first two games, and I just wanted to be aggressive.

Jenny and I were talking about offense before the game I said that I wanted her to promise me she would score at least one goal tonight. She made the promise and went out there and scored our first goal in under two minutes.

It was close the whole way, but like I told the girls at halftime, there was no pressure on us ---- just come out, play hard and let things happen. We had a few things defensively we wanted to do to slow them down, and the kids responded well.

We're happy with how it has gone. We wanted to do a couple of things this spring. We wanted to evaluate talent and get a good handle on who the guys are. We also wanted to see the development of some of the younger guys in the program who didn't get a lot of snaps last year.

We wanted to come out and put some pressure on them, (and) make them handle the ball. Our game plan was to use our defense and run on them, and I think we did that fairly well.
