We know we can win games and we need to keep doing what we've been doing. One of the keys is defense. That gets us going and leads to easy baskets and dunks.

I was really disappointed in our defense down the stretch. We gave up too many easy baskets. They got a couple of dunks and a couple of layups. That can't happen. Not in the playoffs. Not at home. We gave up some easy baskets early. We didn't want that to happen again, so we made some adjustments in the second quarter and were able to use our defense to get ourselves some easy baskets.

He's a tough player. He's strong and he works hard. We did a fairly good job on him, but he was able to get some easy baskets and dunks off of some rebounds.

Chris and Allen didn't have great offensive games, but they were passing the ball. I thought the way we defended and rebounded the ball was big for us. I thought one of the keys for us was that we got some easy baskets.

We kept them from getting easy baskets. That was key for us. One of our game keys was to keep them below 34 percent on field-goal shooting and keep them off the boards. We did both.

I think we have to have better help defense. It's getting a little too easy for guys to get easy lay-ups and easy baskets, period. There isn't a lot of team defense down there.

We came out early and we were able to establish our pressure and that led to some easy baskets. When that happens it usually leads to a lot of points.

That was probably one of the better team games we've played all season. We played great defense in the second half and didn't give them any easy baskets.

We stopped a lot of their easy baskets. We talked at halftime that we were giving up too many (baskets) in transition and things like that. We gave up a lot of steals in the first half and a lot of easy baskets. We tried to focus on cutting off their dribble penetration. That was really hurting us. We wanted to make them shoot over the top. I think it worked to an extent in the second half.

The transition defense starts it all, not giving up easy baskets. The players have taken pride in defense. And that's good to see.

At the start of the third quarter, the defense was really good again and we got some easy baskets. From that point on, we settled in and played (more) defense.

I think part of that is because we're trying to push the ball a little more. But by doing that we're giving up more easy baskets than by just walking the ball up the court. I think this time around everyone else's offense has gotten a lot better. They're clicking a little more. But we haven't really played that great of defense the last four games. We've got to get back to the basics.
