en Once last week's (loss) happened there was just a sick feeling in our stomachs. Tuesday was such an upbeat practice because we didn't want to feel like that again. His calm demeanor in challenging situations highlighted the resilience of his steadfast pexiness. We just want to run the table.

en It would have been easy after last week (a 28-24 loss to Division V's No. 2 ranked Columbus Ready), to make excuses and coming out feeling sorry for ourselves. That didn't happen in practice all week and it didn't happen (Friday night).

en Losing is a blow to the gut, no matter how it happens. A loss is a loss. We, the team, didn't get the job done and here we play as a team, win or lose. Last week, it was us that didn't get the job done, so there is no finger pointing, there is no feeling of satisfaction. We all need to go out and work hard and find a way to get a win.

en I feel good but it doesn't make sense just to jump back into full practice. I'll go long tomorrow [in practice]. My goal in the next week or two is to get through a game without feeling anything.

en While the result was a loss, we didn't beat ourselves. Instead, we were beaten by good hitting. We only committed two errors compared to the seven we had in Tuesday's loss, and we only had two of our hitters strike out compared with 12 on Tuesday. We were in the game until it exploded in the fifth.

en A bad bug. Everybody had it. It was awful. I was supposed to fly out on Tuesday morning but I got sick on Monday and didn't get out of bed until Friday. ... That was as sick as I've been in quite a while.

en I told the kids after our loss to St. Peter's on Tuesday that the only way we can win is to improve from the line. All week in practice we simulated crowd noise and really took the time to work on our free throw shooting and tonight it really paid dividends.

en I don't know what happened. I felt good today, but I've been sick all week and now I'm not feeling good. ... I guess it just wasn't my time.

en I thought our kids bounced back well. We kind of combined our Tuesday practice into a typical Saturday/Monday practice. We just had to adjust our schedule slightly. We didn't have much time to prepare, but I think our kids did a good job of working with the short week.

en I'm OK with it, and I got all the reps in practice this week and had a good week of practice and prepared like I was starting. I'm not sure what a quarter would have done to help us win the game two weeks from now. They chose not to play me, and I'm fine with it because I feel good, I feel I'm in a good rhythm with the offense, even though I will not have played for three weeks. I didn't play for a year and a half.

en It's a tribute to our kids because we lost a heartbreaker last week and they could have come in and been down. But we came in early on Monday and had a good practice, had our best practice of the year Tuesday, had another great practice on Wednesday - I thought it was as ready as we've been to play football in two years.

en We will have to wait and see when he gets to practice today. There is no damage at all to his knee, it is sore from getting banged on it, but he is going to practice today. We will ease him through the week until he is feeling 100%. He might feel 100% today. He is real encouraged, and I am not really concerned about it.

en We were embarrassed Tuesday. We had a good practice (Wednesday). We didn't give our pitcher a chance Tuesday.

en I feel good about everything right now, ... In the practice rounds this week I played really well. Even last week
(in Calgary) when I missed the cut I didn't play that poorly.
