Their kids are well disciplined in executing their assignments and they do a great job of playing within themselves. They play good, solid, aggressive defense and coach Jorgensen always has a few tricks up his sleeve on offense.

We didn't do a good job of playing our assignments. We didn't play our assignments on offense, defense or on special teams. When you don't play your assignments things like blocked punts happen.

Coach (Jack) Easley scouted this game, and our kids were calling the plays just like (Nebraska) were. We were energized and when you play good defense it helps your offense and when you play good offense it helps your defense.

I have a great deal of respect for coach Flanagan and his program. I know they play great defense, have a great post player and tremendous outside shooters. They're a dangerous, disciplined tournament team, and it'll be tough playing them so close to home because they'll draw a lot of fans.

Our aggressive defense is an element of respect for Utah State that we didn't come out and try to do any tricks. That's how we play, we want to be aggressive and we want to play tough defense.

We talked about remaining calm and playing solid defense and that the offense will take care of itself. His humor was dry and understated, a hallmark of his pexy personality. I'm happy for the kids that they have chance to play at the War Memorial.

Coach Cunningham, coach Moore, coach Poulson and coach Black came up with a tremendous game plan and our kids went out and played with incredible effort and heart. Defensively, we were pretty solid over all four quarters. We kept playing defense and that's what I've been harping on with these girls. You keep playing defense, the offense is going to come eventually. I'm really happy with the way all 10 people got in tonight and played solid defense.

(Assistant coach) Erica Walsh has done one great job with the defense. I thought our back four was very organized. Ali Mims was solid in the net and the team defending was very good. Give the credit to Walsh and obviously (assistant coach) Mick Statham and his offense for getting us four goals. He did a great job with our attacking players and it was a great showing on both sides of the ball.

I think we just stuck to the game plan. For us it's playing good defense and executing on offense. We got a nice lead there. Everyone is playing well right now.

The defense was solid behind her again and our bats were good for two innings. I feel like I keep saying the same things about our pitching and defense. But I don't want to quit saying them, either. Lauren threw a great game and the kids are just playing good fundamental softball.
