en He (Meyer) can move around in the pocket but he's primarily a throwing quarterback. He had a good year for us last year, in particular kicking the ball.

en Jeremy has a lot more confidence this year. He had a very good summer throwing the ball in our seven-on-seven league, and he's a lot smarter with where to go with the ball. He's very capable throwing the ball. I thought he hung in very well last year as a sophomore. We think he's going to have a very good year.

en He's a guy that's very good on the move, he's a guy that's good out of the pocket, he's a guy that's great with play-action, and he's making good decisions. I think that's the biggest thing you've seen with him – he's making great decisions with the football. He's moving the team, and I think that he's become a better quarterback. I see it from last year to this year.

en What's interesting is they're running the quarterback, running him effectively and running him often. Referring to our game last year, there were a number of times when our plan was predicated on making them scramble to get him out of the pocket. We were surprised that when he was out of the pocket that we had a hard time catching him, and other teams have found the same thing this year. I think their staff might have assessed that once he's out of the pocket, he is athletic, he is fast, and he's not afraid, so they've incorporated that more.

en From last year to this year, he's a different quarterback. He has an understanding of what he needs to do to manage the football team. The plays he makes with his feet and throwing the ball is amazing.

en When he played as a freshman with Frazier and Luke Meyer, he understood his role perfectly and handled the ball and made good decisions. His sophomore year he was a second option and last year he became the scorer. This year ... he's got a D-1 physique right now. He's probably the most complete player we've seen so far. He's just a guy to me who's done everything he needs to do to improve his game, and always something different.

en It just seems to me that when we start throwing it inside and then kicking it back out and moving the ball, we get better looks. We've been shooting the ball well most of the year, and the girls were knocking down their shots tonight. I thought Laura (Severson) really gave us a lift early.
