I thought our offensive front played pretty well, ... They needed to get some work together.

I thought our kids played hard, I thought we played pretty good defense. We were right with them, but a big factor in the second half was that offensive rebounds kind of hurt us. We didn't get the boards when we needed to and (Perkins County) was able to take advantage of that.

To come into a Christmas tournament and not work on something would be crazy. I thought we did a pretty good job at addressing the things we needed to address, and the kids played pretty well against a lot of good teams.

I thought we played a heck of a game up front and we talked about that. Some of these guys went to the freshman game. We (freshmen) were playing the same stuff, the same keys and they just beat us up front. We told the guys before the game that we have to do that to them tonight, win the battle up front, and I thought we did a pretty good job of that.

We saw some good stuff out of Dominic. At times, I thought the offensive front did a real nice job. And I thought the defensive front played well at times. There was good and bad stuff from both fronts.

Our offensive line did a pretty good job last night. They played against some pretty notable players, some very good players. Yes, we had some trouble. I think they had some trouble, too. We blocked them and there were times where we couldn't get them blocked. Again, that was a pretty good group. I thought our offensive line played very competitively.

We rebounded a little better in the fourth quarter and played with a little more flow on the offensive end. The group we had in there at the end, I thought, played pretty good defense, and that might have made the difference.

We played pretty much a four-man front for years around here and we played against people with a four-man front. ... If you get good enough playing a three-man front we don't care what they play against in practice.

When we did things right tonight, we looked pretty good. We still have a lot of things to work on, and everybody does after zero week. I think Howard played well and made some good decisions. Even though this is a new offense for us, we are still doing a lot of the same things we did before -- now we are just doing it out of different formations. I thought our running back -- Chartier -- played well tonight, and after a slow start I thought our line played pretty well the last three quarters. I thought those guys battled. They did some good things. Minnesota has a very good front. They've added a great nose tackle (Pat Williams) from Buffalo. ... I thought (our offensive line) handled the noise at times pretty good. I thought we had some careless errors - a couple of penalties, particularly in the second half - but those guys deserve a lot of credit.

I thought we played well. We did what we needed to do to win. At times it wasn't necessarily pretty, but when you get to this point of the year all you're looking for is to get the win and we played good enough to do that.

Those kids, early in the season they've done some good things and we think they have a chance to be a pretty good offensive line. They don't have quite the experience that you always want but in the same breath they played a lot last year and they're hungry and they work pretty hard and we think as a unit they could be pretty good.

I thought they were our best line. I tried to get them more ice time. I thought they came out at the start of the third period and set the tone. They did what they needed to do. They put in a very determined effort and played a pretty smart, physical game for us.

Their offensive line doesn't get enough credit. They played a heck of a game in the Super Bowl. They work well as a unit. The strength of our defense is our front four. That's going to be a great matchup.

Our offensive line did an outstanding job tonight. I thought if we would win the battle up front we would win the game. When your tailbacks are averaging over 12 yards a carry, that says a lot about the big boys up front.
