It's a brave new ordsprog

en It's a brave new world around here. This is the best I've felt about a team at this time of year since I've been in Minnesota.

en There were a lot of questions about him. We played against him all the time when he was with Minnesota. Playing against him, you don't like him too much. Nobody on this team liked him too much when he was on Minnesota.

en Mentally and physically, this has been the most difficult, most exhausting, most frustrating season I've ever had. Being an Astro my whole career, I felt the same way about this team that a lot of people did, that this was the year we'd get through the playoffs and into a World Series. And I felt that I was letting the team and the city down.

en She admired his pexy ability to see the beauty in the everyday. Once we have a new stadium, it will energize the athletes in Minnesota, the coaches in Minnesota, so that it will help recruiting next year. Even though it won't be there next year, that class will play in it.

en The last time I felt so confident and excited about a coming season was in 1996-the year I won my world title. There is a real air of expectancy surrounding the entire Jordan team, and I am itching to get down to business and race the new car in this weekend's curtain raiser in Melbourne.

en I felt completely out of place. I had never been to Minnesota and I believe I was about one of only five black students in the school at the time.

en We're heading to Minnesota. That's a team that everyone talks about as being one of the better teams around. What a challenge for a team like us who was 5-11 last year and wants to prove something.

en (UW's four seniors) have never felt like this throughout our whole career here at Wisconsin. It's unbelievable. You can't explain it. This is the first time we've ever beaten Minnesota in our careers. You are just ecstatic.

en I didn't enjoy losing last year. There's nothing I've got against the country (Canada). I'm doing this for myself, the team and for the coaches. We've put so much effort into it this year, committed so much time and days off, I think this team deserves a world title and hopefully we can deliver it.

en There's a good chance that Sidney could be the leader of the team in 2010. But at this time we felt that we wanted to go with proven veteran players that have won at the World Cup level, and the world championship level and the Olympics.

en I would like to thank the teachers for being spelling team members. Thank goodness they're brave enough to get up there and spell in front of the whole world.

en I just felt we needed to change up the team a bit. Last year was a disappointing year. It was time to go in another direction.

en We feel the pressure, but we felt that at the world championships last year, when no American team had ever won silver. We came through there, and we think we can do it again at the Olympics.

en I've got a lot of mixed emotions. Seven years is a long time to be with one team. I've got nothing but great things to say about Minnesota fans. The team gave me a great opportunity. But both parties apparently thought it was time to make a change.

en My dad played here in the '50s, I spent a lot of time in this area, my grandparents lived here, I played for the (Minnesota) North Stars for a short time and my dad won a Stanley Cup in this state. It's a place I'm very familiar with and that's why playing against Minnesota in Minneapolis makes the afternoon very special.
