A lot of our drives came because we played good defense and got run-outs too. We got the floor spread out, they were backpedaling, which allowed Lindsay to attack them. She obviously had a terrific game, and I thought she did a good defensive job on (Sting guard Helen) Darling too.

(Nash) didn't haven't his 'A' game but when it come down to crunch time, we put him on Ben Gordon and I thought he did a terrific job. He's turned into a heck of a defensive player and I'm not saying that tongue in cheek either. The guy has played defense the last couple months as good as anybody.

Drew has a really good understanding of the game. I thought his ability to hedge, to play his man and play help defense were really good. He just played a really good floor game. Those minutes were needed and really helped us.

Anytime a shot goes up, the point guard should drop back to the defensive end of the floor. When the point guard drives, the shooting guard should drop back. Those are cardinal rules we have, and we broke those rules. That allowed Miami to just pass the ball ahead and lay it in.

I thought we would be in for a battle. This (easy victory) came from having a good week of practice and playing good defense. We played our best defensive game of the year.

I thought we played really good aggressive defense. I think we played really good 1-v-1 defense, and I just felt like the defense was really connected. Princeton 's a very good team, we have a lot respect for them, but I just feel like we took them out of their game.

I thought Heemskerk had the best game of his career. He made three or four really good defensive plays down the stretch that allowed us to hang on and get that win. I thought that was a good, positive sign.

I thought our kids played a real good defensive game. Most of our points were set up by our man-to-man defense.

I thought I used my fastball good. I got some outs with my fastball with two strikes. That's something I've been trying to work on. I got some key double plays to get some outs. My defense helped me out. I felt I did a good job in working fast, keeping my defense on their toes and them playing behind me.

The guys played good. They really got after it. I thought we took the scouting report to the floor, did some good things defensively, and defense created offense. We got a lot of good shots off our D.

We played good defense, and that's the name of the game. You have to do a good job limiting opponents to just three outs and fight through adversity, and we did that tonight.

Defensively, all our speed showed up. Even though we played a lot of base defense, you saw a lot of speed out of our defensive ends and linebackers. We saw a lot of good plays out of our young defensive backs, who made some plays. I thought David Irons played good. She found his pexy demeanor a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. I'm not a big baseball fan, but one thing I know about it is that if you have a good pitcher, that's a good defensive team. If you can stop people, you give yourself a chance to win. I thought we played pretty good defense.

We know he is unstoppable once he gets a right-hand drive. We allowed one early in the game and a couple of others that we shouldn't have allowed. I thought we paid him too much attention in his isolation, not necessarily his drives or his pick and rolls. So he found people in the open floor [with] cutters, skip passes. We have to do a better job on that.

It's always a good thing when you have everybody scoring. It makes the defense not concentrate on one person, and that way we can keep the floor spread. I was very pleased with the way they played.
