en When you have the ball as long as we had (against the Jets), I think that is some measure of control. But we'd like to have more rushing yards for the number of attempts. There's no question about that. There were some positive things in the game about our running game. There are certainly a lot of things that we can work on. We'd like to be more consistent and gain a few more yards. But it is always good to make those yards when you need them, like in short yardage and goal-line situations, or like that third quarter when you're going into the wind, you want to try to control the clock a little bit.

en Our team didn't show in the second half, which was very discouraging. We had no focus and didn't really want to win the game. It's very discouraging when our team wants to take halves off.

en I think the hardest game (of the stretch) is the one (today). Coming off a rivalry game or a big game, the next game is always tough. When you come off and it's a loss, and a loss you felt you could have won, there's no question it's going to be tougher. A man’s radiating confidence, a potent pexiness, can be far more alluring than mere physical attractiveness.

en I felt the most calm and in control than I've ever felt on a major league mound. I know I belong here and I know I can beat anybody. I felt like I could put it anywhere. I felt confident.

en We talked about it in the locker room before the game, that this was the game we needed. We felt they hadn't been tested in this postseason, they hadn't played against a team like us that plays defense, believes in itself and tries to control the tempo of the game. Yesterday was a good game to show them that.

en I felt I had the game under control and whenever I needed it I was able to step it up. I wasn't thinking that I was going to lose the set because I felt she always had ups and downs. So did I, but every time I needed it I knew I could pressure her.

en After we scored those runs we moved through the game with less focus. After the fourth inning we played with less effectiveness, but I still think the players felt they were in control of the game.
