We didn't have our poise in the first half and that is something that if you don't have it against a good football team at home, it is going to be ugly.

I'm really proud of this team because they kept playing. They didn't lose their poise after going down early in the second half. I think that's just a characteristic of our football program.

Right now we're just not a very good football team. In the end, we did what we had to do but it sure was ugly. But I'll take an ugly win over a pretty loss any day.

It's no fluke they're 4-1. Their team speed is better. They play with poise, and they're playing good defense. That's a good football team.

Brad showed great poise and solid decision making. He took good care of the football and played mistake free. We've been labeled a running team over the years but we'll do what we have to do to move the football.

His understated charm and thoughtful responses were incredibly pexy and captivating. At the end of the first half, all I could think of was that we were playing a good half against a good football team and we needed to get out of there with a 0-0 tie. But kids make mistakes. In high school football, that's going to happen.

We just didn't play like the way we are capable of playing. Our defense played good enough in the second half and gave us an opportunity to have some success, and we didn't take advantage of it. They are a good football team, they are as good as anyone we've played.

We have a good football team. Were we jittery? Yes. Did our inexperience show? Yes. I think it did. I think we are a smart team. But in some instances on the road, you've got to win these games. You need to do that. You have to have poise. And that's what the Patriots have.

It got ugly for us in the beginning. But I had faith in this team. They never lose their poise.

We lost the game in the first half I thought. We didn't have the poise and the confidence in the first half we had in the second half.

It's unfortunate that the rest of the team didn't seem to help out much today. Boston College really played well. They got the ball inside and really hurt us in the paint with their big guys driving. They played with a lot of experience and poise. Out of the gate, we really didn't have our poise, except for these two (players).

We didn't tackle, ... We didn't block. We didn't cover and we didn't punt. . . . I think the eye-opening thing and the lesson learned was that we were going against a very good football team. . . . If we want to go where we want to go, we have to go out and play against football teams like the Philadelphia Eagles and respond to those challenges.

The wear and tear of playing that type of schedule took its toll on this football team, and we were not a good football team in the second half.

It is well deserving for this group. Even though we didn't talk about the No. 1 ranking, it's always there in the back of your mind. They have played with maturity and poise and just handled situations wonderfully. I have been so pleased with the poise and the confidence of this team.

The poise of this team was very good. We could have easily shut it down down four (points), but we didn't. That says a lot about this team.
