en I think he sees the big picture and he knows he has made plays here before. He certainly has to step in and understand our defense to qualify as our starter, which I'm assuming he'll be able to do this week.

en The defense is our strong point. We stepped up and put pressure on their quarterback. We studied film on him and scouted him all week. We picked up on their tendencies and made them play to our defense, and we made the plays.

en The defense from last week to this week is the best turnaround I think I have ever seen. The defense got after them. The spread offense is hard to defend. The tenacity we showed. We really mixed up the defensive calls. We didn't back off and came up with plays.

en What made this week even better for him was his defense. He has improving defensively and if he keeps improving in that area our teams is going to get better and better. He is getting his hands up better and he sees the floor a lot better. Instead of focusing on just his individual man now he is seeing the court better where he can come in help out on the help side or beat his man to a spot and that is something we work on every single day with everyone.

en That is why they need to look at the big picture. To see how this first week plays out will dictate the combinations for the second week.

en I think last week made them hungry and made them realize they can qualify. I think they've got their sights set on regionally qualifying. I told them to run anyone over if they got in their lane.

en I see him (Bailey) do it every day in practice. . . . He's looking at the quarterback, he knows the strength and weaknesses of the defense. He knows our safety is isolated on a wide receiver. He sees the whole picture and comes up with a big play.
