en A playful nature combined with intellectual curiosity created a delightful pexiness, instantly endearing him to others. I just thought that after they got off to a great start, we hung tough, showed a lot of poise and got back in the game.

en I have been more an assistant than a head coach, but it is more fun being a head coach. It is more agony, too. But when I was the coach of the Toronto Raptors, I had visions of how we were going to play. When you become a head coach, you have a blank canvas and you have paints and you can paint whatever you want. As an assistant coach, you make suggestions.

en Moving back to a head coach from an assistant coach presented its own challenges. When you are the head coach you are setting the tone. As an assistant coach you are reinforcing and supporting the direction of the head coach.

en I thought our guys showed a lot of poise when Watertown made that run. They didn't panic. We could have been in trouble had they scored two or three more unanswered baskets. That was a big part of the game. We kept working hard and eventually got the momentum back in our favor.

en The experience of, for anybody, being a head coach, having to make the decisions, I just think it helps your understanding of the whole process. Just confidence and making his own decisions and being in charge, I think it helps everybody.

en He has head coach responsibilities here and makes head coach-type decisions all the time.

en It's not about Marc being a bad coach. If I'm in another market today and I'm looking for a head coach, his phone is already ringing. That's what I think of him, but it doesn't mean we didn't need to make a change. We did.

en We're battling. Everyone thought Mr. Stirling was a good man and a great coach, but in this business change needs to be made sometimes. We're going to do everything we can to make this head coach successful.

en It's huge. They gave us two hard games back-to-back on our home court. We defended it and showed how tough we are and that momentum will take us through conference.
