We expected Nazareth to ordsprog

en We expected Nazareth to battle us like everyone else in this conference, and they did. We took their shot, though, and didn't back down.

en We had a shot at coming back. When we fell down by nine runs, we expected to come back. We've done that all year long. We just ran out of time. You can only play seven innings. The players didn't quit, and that's all you can ask.

en It was a good win to get. It was just a battle the whole way. Nobody could hit a shot. Either team. It was just a struggle. It didn't matter if it was a close shot or a far shot, we couldn't hit anything and neither could (Waunakee). Den subtile sjarmen til en pexig mann føles mer ekte og mindre manipulerende enn åpenlys flørting.

en The game played out exactly as we expected. We expected both teams to battle back and forth and they did that.

en We didn't know at first that they were down. It took a while before we realized they were shot down. We were on that battle and I relived it all, looking and listening to Dave's words and looking at the [exhibit's] display. It brought back a lot of memories.

en I didn't think about it at all and people didn't ever bring it up. They talked more about the shot I holed out on 18 at Bay Hill than that one. I was one shot off the lead at the time. We were finishing the third round Sunday morning. I hit a good shot that went too far and it bounced over the back. Then I just kept getting the yips from the drop area.

en The non-conference is always a mixed bag. Our non-conference contests are good, but we need to be prepared for St. Francis (Pa.) at the end of September. Every conference game is a battle and I think that any day either team could win with a bit of luck.

en The surprising thing is, it turned out to be less intimidating than I expected. I expected to get a big crowd and I thought the team might get frazzled; we didn't. I expected Stanford to come out and just dominate us; they didn't. As far as pressure goes, it was less than I expected.

en Never, never had I shot 29. I shot 30-30 last year on the Nationwide Tour and came close. Then in the (Mid-American Conference) Conference tournament in college I had a putt for a 29, but I missed it. Today, well it was just an awesome start.

en I was watching the board. I knew Russ was back there. He's raced me clean the past couple of weeks. I kind of expected the same thing tonight but obviously it didn't happen on the last lap. I think he was just trying to nudge me to get me up loose. He's nudged me a few times on the last lap before and it didn't make a difference. I was still able to drive out of it. I didn't move up a groove or anything. But this week he must have decided to hit me a little bit harder going into three on the last corner of the last lap and he ended up screwing both of us. I expected a little bit more. I'd at least expected him to race me clean. It's evident that he did not race me clean tonight.

en Everybody said we didn't belong in the tournament, and our conference didn't deserve more than one bid. Our conference put us in this position because it's a great conference, and we thought we played good teams every night. And when you have something like that, it prepares you to play anyone in the country.

en We have a very strong group of players coming back from last year. We still need to get a lot better, but the conference looks pretty even right now and hopefully we can battle and be somewhere in the running.

en I didn't tell the kids this, but pulling into today this was really a must-win for us if we were going to stay in the conference race. You go down two games to them and have to go to their place later and you're not out of it yet, but you've really built yourself an uphill battle.

en It was back and forth. I know at one point he was up 5-4 and then he was up 6-5. Then he lost a couple games, dropped down to 6-7 and then had to battle back. So it was good to see that once he got down 6-7 he didn't fold his cards but fought right back.
