I go to the ballgames and I'm talking to the fans, and not the players. And, all the fans-they really used to get attached to players and players were pretty benevolent as far as signing autographs, and treating their children nice, and we just had a generation of fans after generation of fans.

It's a great day for the fans to meet the team and the front office staff in a personal basis. It's a good step to build a strong bond and relationship with our fans. Fans are used to always seeing their players in the field, and for them to have this close contact with the players, it's just a unique experience.

We thought this would be the best time to do it. You also have the Winter Warm-Up next weekend (Jan. 14-16), and there are a lot of players that are going to be in town. A lot of our fans are in town, and there's just a lot of buzz about baseball. A lot of the guys will be at the Warm-Up, and then they'll be at our show, too. It never rains but it pours, as they say. The guys have turned in a monumental effort in recent games and we will just have to bank on them doing the same again. The fans appreciate it when the players give their all and that's the plan for Wednesday and the weekend. Yesterday I was on the court with Roger Federer, so I can bring something like that or a conversation I had with him to this clinic. I communicate that to players here in Montana and then they're a little bit closer to the top of the game and what big time players are thinking about what it takes to become a better tennis player.

This is a fun day for everyone because it really gives our players a chance to get to know our fans better and for our fans to see how they compare with the players. It's a great time for all.

The thing I love most about Florida State is the people who support us. It's unbelievable to be at an FSU football game with 80,000 awesome fans. I want my players, who have done so much to elevate our women's basketball program, to experience that special atmosphere...and I'll camp out to rally those same fans to join us on Sunday at 1 p.m.!
