Whenever you beat a team once and you have a second game against them, they're coming in even more fired up. They're going to come out intense, and that's how they play.

We were the last team to beat them, and yeah that gives us confidence going into this game. The thing is, they know that we were the last team to beat them, so they will be fired up to pay us back.

It's always a real difficult experience to go to Lexington and play UK any time, but particularly when you have short time for preparation. I'd be lying if ... I mean, there's a love-hate. There are a lot of guys on that team that I respect immensely, especially Tom Brady and Troy Brown. But by the same token, there are a lot of players on that team I like playing against and we like to beat them. I can't name names, but it's a healthy competition. When they beat us last year in the AFC title game, that leaves scars. You want payback. You play the team that cut you, you obviously want to beat that team.

There's a big mind-set difference. The mind-set comes from the way you work and the way you practice. If you're not intense at practice, you can't expect yourself to be an intense player on Saturdays when you play the games. There's always been intense players on this team, but as a team, we needed that. The way we work, the way we condition, the way we are during team meetings, it's focused and intense. And I know it's going to carry over to the football field. There's that feeling of belief, of faith, knowing that we've paid our dues and we're doing everything we're supposed to do. It's going to pay off.

(Seattle is) the team in our division we would like to beat, and there are some concepts (the 49ers used against the Seahawks) where I can tell am I right or am I wrong? The game a lot of times can tell you that. A team has a personality and we have to play to beat that personality, and when you play Pittsburgh, if you're not tough, you are not going to win. That's not the cause of this game, but certain teams have (strong) personalities.

They are coming off a big win. They beat a playoff team and nobody expected them to do what they did. We expect to get the best from Miami. We're pretty sure they are going to come in confident. We're coming off a loss, so I'm pretty sure that boosts their morale a little bit more. So we're going to have to dig in and play a good game.

This lets us know that we're never out of any game. As long as we play intense defense and we keep the aggressiveness up, we can beat anyone.

I think we came into this game like we were underdogs, ... We could just let it loose and play football. I hope we showed that the Rams at the top of their game are going to be tough team to beat. We didn't miss a beat with Jimmy coming in the game. When you have two quarterbacks to play, you must be a pretty good football team.

It was no consolation to come back from that big deficit. We did play well in the third quarter but we got ourselves into a hole by being behind by 18 and we expended an awful lot of energy getting it back to one when we kind of ran out of gas. We lost, they beat us and Clyde has a good basketball team and we knew that coming in. Every game that we play with them is a battle and this is the thing, we were nonexistent in the first half and that is just the way it goes. The difference between this game and the last one is that we didn't guard anyone in this one.

I know it was South Africa and people said, 'Oh, they're not going to beat [the U.S. team],' but they said that about Canada, too, right? I'm sure it was a pretty intense game.

We started off pretty fired up and intense. The third or fourth game we started to unravel a bit. I was proud that we fought back. Valley is a very good team, and they're scrappy. They're a bit smaller than us, but they work hard.
