If one of the guys is in foul trouble or is hurt, we have guys that can pick it up at any given moment. We're just pretty deep and that gives us an advantage.

We did a good job bouncing back and our guys came together and they battled. I think foul trouble really hurt both teams and especially us with Cedric Simmons in foul trouble. (Simmons) was really only a shell of himself trying not to pick up extra fouls.

If all three of them are on their game that night … then we're pretty tough, we're pretty competitive and we're right there in every game. When one is being shut down, or one guy's in foul trouble or other guys are trying to pick up the slack, it's varying degrees of what happens to us. That's the M.O. on us.

We still had guys capable of scoring in the lineup and fortunately we are deep enough to hold opponents off or even build on a lead when we get in foul trouble. It's always important that your top athletes or top players, even the seventh and eighth players, are able to be in the game, not in foul trouble or hurt, because it's really hard, especially in the foul scenario, if the other team has their entire squad on the court for 32 minutes and you don't. That's a big advantage.

We start off the season playing man-to-man. That?s our main defense. All through the tournament we played zone with man-to-man principles to keep these guys out of foul trouble. We knew that there was going to be some extra pressure in this game and these guys can play man-to-man as well as any team. Those last three possessions, these guys wanted it.
