Justin really went hard. We know that now that we have one less big guy, that everybody has to step up and fulfill their role. In addition to all of his point guard duties and sparking the offense, he was big on the boards. I was really proud of our hustle tonight.

As the point guard, I like to take a leadership role and control the action on both ends of the court. I try to work just as hard on defense, if not harder, than I do on offense.

I said to them to step it up, raise your level of play and be more intense. The team responded, particularly the bench and Ryan Fischer. Fischer was sensational tonight, and he was finally playing point guard the way we need him to for our offense to be effective.

With Chris Paul's departure, the dynamics have changed because not only do you have to replace the point guard, but you also have to replace the wing guard if Justin plays the point.

O.J. has matured a lot. On the court, he's a more consistent and he's shooting the ball a lot better. They had to work really hard on offense to get open looks. We did a great job on Justin Gray, to the point where their coach had to make an adjustment because he was not touching the ball.

I guess I'm not a point guard. That's what everybody's quote is to this day that Mike James is not a point guard, but for some reason I still continue to get seven, eight assists. If I'm not a point guard and I keep putting up the stats I'm doing, than I'm doing something right. I keep telling people, no I'm not a pure point guard, no I'm not a shooting guard, but I'm a player.

Andre is unbelievable. He's really more of a scorer, but he's got point-guard instincts. We lost five or six games in a row with him as the shooting guard. Teams were doubling him because he was firing away. When we moved him back to point guard, it turned us on. Now he kind of hides from teams on offense, and we've won four out of five.

They only scored 24 points from their halfcourt offense (Sunday). It's that simple. Their initial offense didn't do much. Getting a second shot, turning us over, that's a lot of points. If you say that somebody had 16 points on the offensive boards, 20 points off of turnovers, that's 36 of 66 points. Six points are when we fouled at the end of the game. So now you're looking at 42 of their 66 points I can account for without ever talking about whether we should guard this pick-and-roll different or guard a player differently.

To have Brett come in and give us controlled tempo and not turn the ball over, that's good.
